NW New Years
For New Years Eve, we rented a room at the local hotel and swam and ate, swam and ate, all night long (I guess I can't be included on the 'all night long' part since the kids and I left at 10:15). I didn't have my camera to take great pics of the festivities last night or the look on the kids' faces this morning when they found their shoes filled with treats from the New Year's Baby (a family tradition of mine). Candy for breakfast!!
When Ellynn arrived this afternoon for our Korean feast, I talked her into doing my make-up as perfectly as she had done hers.
Adam bought some preserved duck eggs at the Asian market and I told Cole, Jackson and Sierra that I'd pay 'em $3 if they ate one. Jackson and Sierra gagged the nasty things, but Cole went on munching away as if he was born in Korea itself! Boy, was I surprised since this is the same kid who won't even eat the simplest of foods! When I asked him what it tasted like (it smelled like fish), he replied, "eggs", with his mouth full.
