aloha-Brooke

Lyd, Leash, Ad, Cameron, my heart is overwhelmed with the joy of reading your blogs. I am so glad you are all blogging. It makes my day. Lydia, Jane was laughing hysterically at your description of attempting to unicyle. Mindi, can that be my new favorite poem too? I loved it. It was perfect for my life right now. I can't avoid loud people though once Ellynn gets back. I like her way too much. Speaking of which, it was so fun to talk to her. She told me she didn't speak finnish, she spoke whale. How cute is she? Chelsea, Mike is your boyfriend right? I think I met him at Aunt Jack's. I'm not sure.

Okay, my news- Mike is going to Korea for 18-24 mos. He could go for just 12 but then they are assigning all the Captains that go for just 12 to units that are leaving for Iraq within about 4 mos. so they can do their command and then that is about 18 mos. now. So yes, I was crying about 1/2 of yesterday. The good thing is that I will move up to mom and dad's. My original plan was to stay here so Jane could have the stability but then I thought "how stable will Jane be with an insane mom?" Besides that I can fly out of the Seattle airport on Army planes for $25 a person. It will be a pain in the butt, but we will be able to go see him every few months. He will have his own 1 bedroom apt. over there and so when school is out etc... we will be able to stay for prolonged periods of time. Can you tell I'm trying to make myself feel better? Oh, and the best part is he is not getting shot at or bombed. Yes, sucks to be us right now. But dad is excited because he gets his daughter and granddaughters and a cheap trip to Korea (where he served his mission).

I continue to be depressed today because I have very few summer clothes. I have tried to buy some more summer clothes. However, I can not find any cute jean capris that fit me right. The cute skirt from Old Navy that I had been eyeing looked absolutely hideous. So after 1 1/2 hours at old navy I came home with two dresses for Jane, two for Sadie, flip flops for Jane, two cute little outfits for Ellyn, and you guessed it. Not one item for myself. AAHHHHH! I think I'm going to have to start going around in my garments until designers are so distressed by my appearance that they start making clothes that actually fit my body.

Well Sadie is attempting to feed Ellyn pretzles for lunch. We've missed naptime, dang it. So I had better go. Love, Brooke
