aunt le anne

ok i'm here two days this week so i'm almost caught up-- before aunt jack "cleans up" the blog. what a woman. since adam and mindi didn't mention this i figure i can, after all i was on the phone with adam when it happened. all of a sudden adam starts busting up. remember him mentioning how he laughes possibly because it is not him in pain? they are up at the cabin and sierra has something squeezed tightly in her little hand and is swinging it wildly around. mindi has her contacts out and apparently doesn't have her glasses on. she is bent over trying to get a better look at what sierra has clutched in her hand. finally it becomes clear. it is a bloody dead mouse that has been caught in a mouse trap. when i talked to her later i said i would have more than likely let out one of those "man yells" that jessica had mentioned. she said she had screamed. i didn't hear it which only leads me to believe that it must have been one of those "mighty mindi mews." which leads me to this inane comment "mighty bat mindi has need of a cat rather than a rat trap and adam is a brat. perhaps i should write children's books. think of the things i could teach them. but don't let this little story deter any of you from going up on labor day. there are a lot of redeeming qualities, just wear your glasses so you can get a good look at what your 2 year olds have a hold of. especially cole in the garage!!!
next story has yet to take place, but the plan is to go to the rose festival parade tomorrow and walk meagan all over portland. she can then name the baby rose 1st name and she has a choice of festival or parade as the middle name. how's that? however i think i agree with mike and chelsea. hadley has my vote. the parade starts at 10:00 so we are all meeting at our house at 9:30. we are doing it the bennett way this year. we plan on driving in to the end of the parade and then walking backwards along the parade hence a parade in fast forward minus all the anoying delays. after we have seen all we want to we will head to the greek restaurant which is also part of the bennett tradition of watching the rose festival parade. we will miss you but will be thinking of you.
well i'm headed home to check on all the phone messages left by frantic parents about their sr. for some reason now it is of prime importance that their child graduate from seminary--really? i'm sorry but your son/daughter has 32 days and 20 tardies to make up not to mention the 25 scripture mastery scriptures to memorize. are you serious? they ask. do they really have to make it all up. my reply no everyone else had to show up to get credit but your child doesn't. yes, you can try to do all the makeup but i don't think there are enough hours left betweeen now and sunday even if they don't sleep. really and truely i am much more diplomatic
love you all aunt le anne
