This was a mosaic loveseat we saw in Downtown Charlottesville. I wish I'd gotten a closer pic so you could see the detail. Cole's so funny. I just told him to sit on there so I could take the picture, and that's what he did. Some passerbys couldn't help but laugh.
This is what we did during conference. We tried actually "playing" Jenga, but building towers and knocking them over was much more fun. I really enjoyed conference today, by the way. I really appreciated Elder M. Russell Ballard's talk to young mothers. How sweet was that? It was good to hear and I think I'll have to read it again tomorrow. I also really enjoyed Elder Bednars talk on sincere prayer. It's always a good reminder for me since my prayers get to be very similar day after day. I love knowing that my prayers and heard and answered if I'm really sincere and my desires are good. I thought about how much we struggle with Dayne at times. She's so funny, but she can also throw a crying fit for a good half hour...6 times a day. That really wears you out. I forget that the Lord really wants to help me with my kids. He WANTS me to be a happy mom who actually likes parenting and doesn't try to rush through it (another thought from Elder Ballard). We are so blessed to have a prophet who speaks to us and we can know for ourselves if what he or the other leaders of the church say are true. I know this and what a wonderful miracle that is. I know the Atonement is real and we can be made whole through repentance. I know the Spirit speaks to us very clearly, when we are worthy, to teach us and show us the way. I can't be happier about that. I'm grateful for agency and choices. I'm grateful my choices have led me to a close to perfect husband and 3 beautiful, fun, lively kids. This I know to be true.
And on another note...sorry about the rambling testimony by the way. Poor little Junie pulled her elbow out of the socket today. Okay, she didn't, I might have. I'm not really sure if it was today or yesterday when she fell back on it from mommy not being as careful as she should. I was so nervous because here I am alone and both Cole and Dayne are in bed and June is just whimpering in my arms. So, I call my friend who's husband is a Dr. and he comes over and pops it back into place. Almost instantly she's smiling and waiving her arms at him. How great is that??!! Thank you Shane (not that he'll be reading this).

Darla, thank you for sharing your testimony. I didn't get to watch this afternoon's Conference. I'll try to watch it tomorrow. The same thing happened to Kaia's elbow once. I wish I would have known how easy it was to pop it back in and saved a trip to the Dr.
Cole, could you be a funnier kid? Those Geof Bennett kids are dang cute. Darla, I felt the same way about all of those talks. I loved the afternoon session especially.
darla i totally loved those two talks as well. it was like they were just for me. i had been praying about 3 particular things and those two talks answered two of them perfectly. i am so grateful for conference. i can't wait to put them on my ipod and listen to them again.
Darla, I love listening to your testimony. Conference was great. Your kids are very cute!
Love, Aunt Joan
