courtney, what a sweetheart you are with your suggestion to janie. great idea!!
chelsea, it was so fun to hear from you on the blog!!!
janie, as far as the little guy that made fun of ellyn. you have to figure that he just doesn't understand or he would never do it. so be patient with people because God has a way of filling us in on things we don't understand and sometimes the lesssons learned are a little painful.
jessica, did i ever say what a beautiful blog about motherhood you wrote. while most would be more than a little "put out" about having to get up in the middle of the night to take care of such a mess. . . yours was a celestial take on the whole thing. what a woman you are.
mindi, your blog about your dad was beyond moving. it must be so hard. it is also hard to try and determine what would be the best way to help jon. will it help him make more of his life or will it just further the dependence? i think the only way to know is to pray about it. i have tried to help people at times and not had it work out very well, but bottom line i have felt good about my attempt to help. i think we are blessed for our efforts, but i also think God will try to guide us in those efforts.
as crazy and chaotic as brooke's life sounds if you were there 90% of the time you would see her dealing with everything with an amazing sence of calm and patience.
the only bad part about the trip to DC was that i missed my time with elly. we had so much fun with geof. darla and the kids. we have to find someplace cheap to stay because once you get there everything is free. the museums and the memorials are so wonderful and it's surprising how interesting it is for kids even cole's age. you all would love it. we live in an amazing country in an amazing time in the history of the world. SO BLESSED!!!
take care, Le Anne
