i have a few funny little election day stories provided by my boys….

cory…  who are you voting for?

jackson…   mccain.  he seems like a really nice guy!  but you know dad if we want some real change we would vote for obama.

cory thinks…   what are they teaching this kid?

jackson…   you know because we have never had a black president before.

cory…   oooh yeah!

then we are telling the kids that obama’s parents were not allowed to live as man and wife in some states when they got married.  because his mom is white and his dad is black.

wil…   that’s weird because dad’s white and mom your black.  well, brownish.

finally i am doing laundry and jack comes in

jack…   are we poor?

me…   no

jack…   is dad going to loose his job?

me…   no

jack…   is that because obama is the new president?

me…   no, jack it is because dad is a hard worker who has faith that Heavenly Father will take care of us.
