So something weird just happened. I've posted an ad for our house on craigslist because our realtor isn't. A lady named Iris called me. She went on and on about how the duplex seemed right for her but that she absolutely would not work with a lender. I told her we currently had a lender and she told me to find out how and when we could get out of that contract and she'd call back. Two days later she called and said she wanted to come see the house and asked what I found out about my contract. I told her we could get out of the contract at any time but that we couldn't sell the place for 90 days in a for-sale-by-owner situation. She asked if I was sure and I said yes. Then she asked if she could come at 3 on Friday (today). So we work hard to get the house in order, bribe the girls with marshmallows to stay outside for a while, and wait. At 3:15 I decide to call the number that she called me from yesterday. The receptionist answered, "Cherry Creek GMAC". That is who our realtor works for. So Iris is a spy our realtor sent out. I called our realtor, Sarah, and left her a message detailing my whole story. I'm just waiting for the real estate association to show up and arrest me.
