Lyd

I wasn't going to do this but after going to Church today I had a strong feeling that I should. For those of you that don't know, last Monday Lyd had to go to court to check in with the judge. She wouldn't let me go with her so I should have known that some thing was up. When she got out of Cold Creek she was suppose to check in with the court and start reporting to them. She didn't. They caught up with her and when she had to go in for her testing she was dirty. So between not checking in and being dirty, last Monday they put her in Jail for 2 weeks. I was the only one home and had to take her there, needless to say it was not a good time! I told her that I couldn't come and visit her, that it would kill me to see her there and not be able to get her out. She said that she deserved this and that she would be OK. Lyd called me on Tuesday and I found out that there is something worse then having your daughter in Jail! It is hearing her crying her little heart out and not being able to get to her!!! Anyway long story, but I decided that I should and went Friday. It was very hard, they do it using Skipe (sp) so she is in her "Pod" and I could see everything that is going on behind her. Dressed in stripes, just like in the movies was my little Lydia Mae!!! It was hard but I did do a lot of praying that I could at least talk to her. It turned out that I didn't have to talk too much because she did all the talking. This is the wake up call that she has needed! She says that they were talking about all their Dads the other day and complaining about how bad they had it and asked her if Kev beat her (not that it wasn't what he would have liked to do!) but she told them that there was no way that anyone could ever have as great of a Dad that she had! Things that Moms love to hear even if it wasn't the best place to hear it! She asked if Dad was mad at what she had done and I told her that he didn't care what she has done, but does care about what she is going to do from here!!! Spilt Milk!! The lady that put her in there is name is Kathy and she says that she is going to tell her thanks, this is what she needed!! Anyway once again if you have a minute please write her. She will be let out a week from tomorrow and mail is wonderful for her. She only gets two thirty minuted visits a week, so mail is great. She is going to every meeting that she can get to, which is good and my best part, she asked 2 of the guards to give her a blessing. She told me that she has been a spoiled brat through all of this and that she can see where she was headed and knows now that she doesn't want it. I know that it is easy to judge her and what she has done, but I am asking you to remember that it isn't "our job" to judge, we can leave that to the "Big Guy" we are just to love her. I love you all so much and I know that you love her and I think that she would love to hear it!! Your full name and return address needs to be on the envelope. Lydia Mae Rigby

You can't send her anything, only cards or letters. Thanks for your support, please keep praying for her, she is worth it!!!!! Love you Aunt Jack

I will write Lyd tomorrow. I hope you know that I do love Lyd. I know who she is deep down and if I have led you to believe any differently, I'm sorry. I just HATE to see whay she has put you through and Kev. I hope and pray that she will recognize it. My love and prayers are with her daily. I have to say, I most definitely am a forget and forgive person. Love you and what a great thing to hear on Father's Day about Kev.

Jacki,
thank you so much for posting this. I hate to admit this, but we never wrote her when you asked before. My main excuse was mostly, what do you say? What could "I" say that could help her at all?? However, I don't think that's the point at all. We will write her and let her know how much we love her and always WILL love her. No judgement here...
You and Kev and your fam are in our prayers. Love you.
