Long May You Run
"We've been through
Some things together
With trunks of memories
Still to come
We found things to do
In stormy weather
Long may you run.
Long may you run.
Long may you run.
Although these changes
Have come
With your chrome heart shining
In the sun
Long may you run". --Neil Young
This song got stuck in my head this morning on my trail run. I was thinking about Adam who was also running, on a tredmill in a tiny gym in Roosevelt. I was thinking of asking Meagan how her 18 mile run went. I was thinking of D-la training for her half. I was thinking how much fun Julia is going to have during her Color Run. I was thinking of the Stinchfields and their marathons, wondering if I'll ever be able to join the ranks (I'm injured again! boo). I was thinking of LeAnne and her hip injury keeping her from her favorite runs. "Long may you run!" What a wonderful thing to wish upon a loved one. Some day, over the rainbow, we will all be able to "run and not be weary".

I am currently going for the "walk and not faint" part.
It takes forever to put in the miles when you are walking
Thanks for the poem and the blog challenge. I enjoy reading about everybody!
Ah Mindy! Just the inspiration I needed right this second. I planned a 6 mile run today and it is pouring rain and the wind is blowing so I am headed to the garage and not too motivated. The treadmill will seem a happier place to be now.
