Weddings, Greg, Christine and Katherine

Ellery and I drove up to Woodenville to the beautiful old Hollywood School where Dane and Angela held their wedding luncheon and reception. They are such a cute couple! It has been pretty amazing with all the weddings lately. Hannah and Richard, Joan and Kevin, Jan and Bree, and now Dane and Angela's. Throw in Sterling and Marilyn's farewell and we could really go through withdrawal not seeing Uncle Sharm, Aunt Mardiene, Uncle Rulon and Aunt Sally. They are so wonderful to support everyone! It takes a lot of energy and a lot of air apparently. Uncle Rulon took out his oxygen tubes to pose for a picture. Aunt Sally was taking a little too long. He said, "Hey, Sal! I'm running out of air here!" I teased him and said, "She must still take your breath away." He told me how much he loved her. Pretty nice!

Talked to Uncle Sharm and Aunt Mardiene about Christine, Greg's wife. They had stopped in Spokane for Katherine's baptism on their way to the wedding. They had had to cancel it the month before because Christine was not doing well. The cancer is back with a vengence. I called Greg to see how he was doing. Katherine was baptised on their 15th wedding anniversary. They have been dealing with this for 10 years. The two of them sang for Katherine's baptism. Uncle Sharm said it was amazing how strong Christine's voice was coming out of such a frail body. The stake president spoke at the end and asked them both to bear their testimonies. What would you say to your 8 year old daughter? They have this one treatment that has just been approved left to try and if she does not respond she will be gone before Christmas.

Greg has asked for our prayers. He is deliberately optimistic. He says he is not worried about himself, only Katherine.

Back to all those beautiful temple weddings....what would we do if we did not have the Plan of Salvation, the Sealing Ordinances of the Temple and the Promise of Eternity!

Love You,
Le Anne
