A wild weekend-Jessica

I haven't blogged in forever and I got on here today expecting to read a million but there were barely any. At one point no one had written in 3 days, I think that is a record. Well I have a lot to tell you. Lowell emailed some pictures from their trip to Washington. It looked like so much fun. They invited us to go and I kept begging Tony to go but, don't tell Lowell and Mindi, he didn't want to ride 13 hours with their kids. Just kidding but I wish we could've come.

We were supposed to go camping with Tony's family on Friday morning but then all the drama with mom happened Thursday night and I decided we better not go until mom was better. Friday, Alicia, Chloe and I spent the day at the hospital so dad could go home and get some sleep. Later that night we went back to visit her again with Tony. On the way out of mom's room I decided to give Chloe a shoulder ride. It was kind of in slow motion but I see Tony motioning to me to duck but it was too late. I bonked Chloe's little noggin on the doorway. I heard the noise but I still didn't realize what had happened. It was silent for a moment and then Chlo let out this huge scream. I felt sooo bad, but it was kind of funny.

Saturday was Dad's b-day so we decided to have a "hospital birthday picnic" Alicia brought chinese and I brought mexican and we all had lunch and dad opened gifts. By then mom was out of the ICU and doing well so Tony and I decided to go meet his fam for camping. Cameron, I think you were the one who wrote about Koosharem, well I know where it is. We were right near there. We went to Fish Lake, it is truely gorgeous there but that is about all you can do is fish. I was without a fishing pole and license so I just kind of relaxed. The water is freezing so we couldn't swim. It was nice just to hang out. I saw a flyer for the 4th of July festivities in Koosharem with a breakfast and a parade, it sounded fun.

Monday morning we got up at 6:45 am (which is a stretch for me) to make it home for the parade at 11. It was fun. There were more people this year then I had ever seen before. Chels, speaking of the 5K, remember when we drove by as you were doing it and you looked so mad, that was great. Anywho, afterwards we went to g-pa and g-ma's BBQ. I made my first relish tray and it was a doozey. After that Tony, Leash, Kev, Chlo and I decided to go to Joan's for a swim. We were all having a great time and then more drama occured. Tony was trying to do a trick off the board where you stand backwards with only your toes on the board and then dive in. Well, he was bouncing and slipped and as he went in he popped his shin on the board. He was under for longer then normal and when he came up he said he thought he cut his shin and as he pulls it out of the water I can already tell it is bleeding. Well it turned out to be a four inch cut down to the bone. You could actually see his white bone, it was disgusting. We wrapped a towel around it and headed for the ER, only after we got a picture. I will email it, you won't believe it, I almost passed out. Well 15 double layered stitches later, he is all better and we even got to see the end of the fireworks. What an eventful weekend.

I love the name Hazel. She looks so beautiful, congrats you guys. Lydia I am impressed you know all the words to O Canada. You need to hear Geof. sing it in opera, you will never be the same, right Geoffie. Well I am sorry this is so darn long. I love you all. Love Jess
