4th of July

So how was everyone's fourth? I have to agree with Chelsea that Kaysville has about the best fourth ever. I have so many great memories. I especially love thinking of running for candy at the parade and watching Leash wear those huge air traffic control earmuffs to the fireworks. Mom always made sure we were right underneath for a spectacular show. There is just no other way for me to watch fireworks now.

We did have a fabulous fourth here however. We started off the morning helping with our ward's red, white, and blue pancake breakfast. There was a huge turnout and it was alot of fun. By the time we got home it was naptime for the little ones and we all ended up taking a little snooze. I got up and mowed the lawn while Mike watched the girls. Call me crazy but I love mowing the lawn and I hardly ever get to, yesterday was a bit hot though. Mike grilled us up some stakes for dinner and then we headed down to the Chattahoochie for "Thunder on the Hooch." Our last time for a while. It was honestly the best fireworks I have ever seen. They just kept going and going and going, with cool new ones I had never seen. It was so fun. We had a great time with just our little family. The girls were so cute and funny and running all over the lawn. It was a very memorable family event.

The rest of the weekend was really relaxing as well. Mike had work off on Friday. Thursday night we had dinner with friends and went to the on-post fireworks. I got some packing done and wrangled every auxillary (Mike did the priesthood) in the ward to help us move. That's what is great about having had a calling w/ each. The young men in my Sunday School class volunteered to come so I talked to the YM pres. too. I'll do rootbeer floats for everyone in trade for their slave labor. Maybe Little Caesar's five buck pizza too. Who knows? We have a great ward and I will miss them.

Okay, I have ended the drought. You would all think we had fun things to do this weekend or something. I want to hear all about everyone's fourth and I need an update on Aunt Jack and Hazey May. That is my nickname for her, it just keeps getting stuck in my head. I love you all. Lyd, I enjoyed your website. Very beautiful. Looks like alot of fun.

I love you all. Love, Brooke
