Well, Jess is almost right

You've read Jessi's story, now let me tell you what really happened. No, but it was seriously, the worst day of my whole life. Do you remember how when Grandma died, everyone said she was sitting there talking and the next minute it was a code blue? That's all I could think about as every nurse and doctor in the entire hospital ran to moms room. They came wheeling around the corner with the crash cart and I thought it was seriously over. Me, Dad, Jess and Tony were just standing outside the room, hugging, white as ghosts. Well, me, Jess and Dad were. Tony was amazingly calm. He kept poking his head in the room so he could hear what was going on, and then would translate. He later told us that they bring in the crash cart anytime someone stops breathing. We thought she was on her way out. I remember looking over at Jess and we both had this look like, this can't be happening. Apparently when she came out of surgery they gave her some Demerol. When she got up to her room, they started loading her full of Morphine. She said she was feeling really sick, so we were helping her sit up. I was standing right there when she slumped over. I bent over and looked at her face and her eyes were all rolled back and she was shaking. I of course handled it the best way I knew how - by screaming profanities hysterically into the hall until someone came in to help. Anyway it was a little unnerving to finally find out that the drug schedule "hadn't been communicated efficiently." Which is code for, "oops, we really stepped on our weiners on that one." Kev was absolutely fuming when I told him it was because she was overdosed. Anyway, we had the director of nurses talking to us, the head E.R. doctor and anyone else that was smelling a law suit. Anyway, like Jess said, after they gave her that drug to counteract the morphine, she was back to ground zero. She was in so much pain, she was begging Dad to just get her out of there. It was absolutely horrible to see. Luckily she's doing way good today and even walked 20 feet. We've heard that it's literally hell for 3 days, and tommorow it day three. Keep her in your prayers. I'll let you know more tomorrow. Leash
