My excuse- dial up internet

...So it's like we're a table full of women at a restaurant eyeing the last hot roll in the basket waiting, just waiting to see who'll be confident enough to take it. Come on girls (and boys!) write!! I don't make you laugh like Leash or quote like Mindi, but I'll fill you in on how nice life has been lately. Cole and Dayne are both sitting on the couch right now watching Dumbo- for the first time! My sister sent us home with close to all of her VHS's since we're the last it seems that still use our VCR. Dayne's sleeping on Cole's shoulder and it's so dang cute I could scream..but of course I won't since she's been sick for the last 4 days and full of screaming herself. I finally took her to the Dr. today (I'm a little against doctors if i can help it) and they told me she had 2 bad ear infections...poor thing. So she's doped up now and we're happy. Geof.'s done with school and busy instructing and it's been so much more peaceful around here. I don't have to hear him stressing about how he's gonna flunk his math class anymore! i mean really, could Geof. really flunk anything? I took a semester off as well and I'm a much nicer momma (most of the time). They've asked us to speak of personal revelation in church next week so my stomach has been quite sick with worry over that. We've had a month to prepare (WAY TOO LONG)...and I just can't stand it. I'm incredibly nervous. Probably because I don't feel completely settled into this ward yet. oh well. Not surprisingly, Geof. is doing wonderfully at not even thinking about it (as he does with all his YM lessons reading over them during Sac. Mtg.) and I'm losing sleep over it. Don't ask me why I've become this way..any suggestions? I guess it's the topic that's a little daunting? Should I be personal or share other's stories? Okay, moving on. Christmas was good. What did happen was expected (my mom sleeping until 1 pm Christmas day) and Geof. was great about not showing his dissappointment at not being home for the close to perfect Bennett Christmas. I say that with out the least bit of sarcasm. I wish we were there too! My cousin's wedding was nice and we enjoyed my Dad quite a bit. The weather as some of you might of heard was very unlike CA. It rained about 95% of the time...heavy, tropical-like rains. It was crazy. It was a good excuse to not leave the house I guess. I'm glad we're back now. I've actually thought of a few decorating ideas for my house which I'm excited about. We'll see if i follow through with them since we won't be here much longer. Well I've gotta run. I have this yummy Whole Wheat Buttermilk Pancake recipe I like to make once in a while. mmmm...with real maple syrup. Love to All. Darla PLEASE WRITE!
