sorry the blog has been so dead, that has kind of been the pattern during weekends. especially long weekends while people are away or playing. that is my excuse. we were in the tri-cities. we left thursday morning and came home last night. we had a great time. the only problem was that it wasn't long enough. i could have stayed through the week. only through a crazy series of events did we get a camp site and it was by far the best site in the most beautiful camp ground. i wasn't going to blog until i had pictures to go along with it, but to wait until cory and i have a night at home together it would be some time next century. poor cory only got to come for a day and a half. he and brind hitched a ride over with our friends the eppersons on saturday, then he took the train back at 5:30 monday morning to be back to help the young men, who really needed his help as of sunday night, with a service project, only to get a call as he was coming into vancouver that they really didn't need him. so a lose of one day and $45 at least proves that he was willing to do what the Lord would have him do. the lesson learned; our young men's organization in this ward really needs some work in communication and organization. maybe that is why cory is in there. he is gifted in both areas. we took little hazel to see her name sake, (aunt hazel). she and uncle john were so cute. they loved our g'parents so much. it's sad to see that they are still alive and kick'n (john will be 90 in a couple of months and has the nicest yard in 4 blocks and not a stitch of dust in the whole house and he does all the work himself) and we have been without our g'ma/pa for so long. daddy came over on saturday as well and the kids were so excited! we got to go see pirates on sat. night because rob wanted to watch the jazz game so he volunteered to watch their 8 month old twins, hazel, bennett and their 6 year old elli. they don't really do the camping thing, so they got a hotel and came over one night to roast hot dogs and marshmallows. they are great friends, but as they would rather hang out in their hotel then walk over to the mall, we were very happy to play at our camp ground, then meet to go swimming. on sunday we drove up to moses lake to josh's parents house again. i have mentioned them before they are the ones where we took pictures of the kids doing an easter egg hunt. mom and dad were in heaven. they sat and talked to josh's parents for hours and hours. patti pointed out that they were probably so excited to have someone their own age to talk to. rob is the oldest person that they hang out with and he is 34. ok i think i have covered most of the weekend and i'm sure mom will hit anything i missed and repeat much of it as well. hopefully i can get cor to post the pictures. love you guys...........me
ps chels the whole dress buying thing sucks!! that is why my mom made my dress and she had to use three different patterns to do it. good luck!! you will look beautiful no matter what!
