VA

I'm having a men's choir sing for our Patriotic Sunday (the 2nd Sunday of July). I might just do something out of the hymn book but was wondering if any of you (Moni, Le Anne, anyone!!) might know of a different rendition of one of the patriotic hymns. Or maybe had another idea of a song not even in the hymnbook?? Let me know!! I'm way excited. ~Darla

no, I'm actually just over music and was going to be the ward chorister, but with my situation, they asked someone else to do it. I'm just over special musical numbers, when the choir sings, and any music training the choir needs (yeah, because I'm SOO qualified).

O, ok. I just read your comment. So my advice is not needed. But when you do it again. If you have a good amount of time. Battle Hymn of the republic is one of my favorites. For small notice America the Beautiful, or the Star Spangled Banner from the hymn book are both cool quartets.

dear darla,
i am so out of the loop on music because i've been out of that calling for so long, but try www.LDSMusicSource.com or 1-877-758-6782. when you go on line you can even hear how the selection goes. how cool is that. it's the green sticker thing if you are familiar. good luck--love you!!! le anne
