ColoradoBennett-Nanny 911

We were at the library on Tuesday and they had the "Nanny 911" book on display, so
I checked it out. I've never watched the tv show, but I've been given parenting tips many times by my 14-year-old sister who does watch it. They have a great chapter on whining and tantrums and I like their concept of House Rules and such. Anyway, if any bloggers out there have children that whine, I recommend reading chapter 4: "Yes, Please: Children Learning to Communicate to Put an End to Whining, Wheedling, Wanting, and Tantrums". Although, I have know idea what wheedling is, but it sounds bad and I bet Sierra does it. Wacky British nanny words.
Poem for the day, by William Wordsworth:

"I wandered lonely as a cloud
that floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneth the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed--and gazed--but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

ps. chelsea, you are very beautiful and you look fantastic in the picture, no freekshow involved! Alica, your post about Chlo and the windshield wasn't there when I started this I just went back and read it. Is she ok? If so, that tragicly funny. I can't believe she could break the window with her little head!
