oh how lovely was the morning

so i'm almost done with my first trip as pilot. it is really quite awesome i love flying the jet but still have a lot to learn. alright so on the 3rd of march we landed in rochester new york late. the crew was bummed because the airline was having us stay there the next day so we were stuck in freazing northern new york with nothing to do. well i woke up and made some calls to try and get to church. a young man named mark who's from AZ. going to medical school gave me a call and asked if i wanted a ride. on the way to church he asked if i wanted to go to palmyra after church. i knew that palmyra was close but i didn't know how close. after church we went to the hill cumorah, joseph smith house, the sacred grove, and then to the grandin print shop that published the book of mormon. it was so awesome i thought i'd be stuck in a hotel room all day and instead got to go to places i'd wanted to see my entire life. i wish it hadn't been so freezing there were no leaves in the grove but it was still so amazing. a couple in the ward invited us for dinner and i was very thankful. this church is true. i'm from the west make a few phone calls and get to spend the day with some great people. i think about how i need to be the person who helps others more like that kid. i'm sure glad i have darla who is so good at that kind of thing. anyway all is well i've landed the plane several times and the captain only complains of minor back problems. i told him to shut his mouth. alright mucho love. peace out.
