ColoradoBennett-Happy Birthday, Kaia Jane!

Birthdays are wonderful. Last night we started off the festivities by going to my favorite restaurant, Casa Bonita. Maybe it is because I'm pregnant, but it was the first time that I've really been grossed out by their food. Everyone else always complains about it, most family members refuse to go entirely, but I've always thought the entertainment overshadowed the icky menu. Cliff divers, skits involving Black Bart and the Sheriff and the Sheriff's pet gorilla (actors who've really made it, according to my Uncle Steve), puppet shows, arcades, caves and waterfalls, what more could you ask for in a restaurant, really? Then this morning we went with our playgroup friends to Pump It Up, an indoor inflatable carnival. Kaia had a good time, but Sierra took the prize for the happiest, sweatiest kid in there. Afterwards we had a picnic involving chocolate cupcakes, which as you can see, Kaia really enjoyed.
