sawyer michael stinchfield is here hale and hearty

just a brief note i'm tired. they had a bit of a hard time getting the word to mike. it turns out he was roaming the streets of bagdad in his striker (a high tech updated army tank). they broadcast the message over all their communication system, "hawk 6, this is wolf pack, you have 10 lb. 2oz. baby boy!" mike was informed along with every team out there. it was so funny. he said it took him a minute--or two--to recover. i haven't prayed as sincerely as i should have over the years for the men and women that are risking their lives for the safety of our country and the world and for their families. this is tougher duty than we recognize on a daily basis, but on to happier things. sawyer is here and is absolutely beautiful, healthy and strong. brooke is doing so well hard to believe it was over 1hr. and 10 min. after hitting the hospital. she is the toughest girl out there she only cried once when her friend april said she wished mike could be here. it wasn't an unfeeling remark as she knows too what it is like to have a husband gone. we will post pictures soon, as this was all well documented for mike's benefit. love to all, aunt le anne
