D-Day, 65 Years Ago Today

I am in awe of all of the brave men that fought on the beaches that day. Their courage is something I cannot even comprehend. I feel very privileged that our family was able to visit the beaches of Normandy and get just the tiniest glimpse of the sacrifice made by so many. I am so proud of our American soldiers, time and again they step up to the plate and do what is asked of them. Thank you.

In my prayers every night I thank Heavenly Father for the men and women that defend our country. "Because I Have Been Given Much I Too Must Give." I am on the receiving end--all the blessings of living in a free land.
I also prayer for their safety and for their families at home that have to live without them and worry for them. THANK YOU!!!

Great post Mike, I couldn't agree more. We had the chance to visit Omaha Beach in Normandy and the feeling there was indescribable. Eerily peaceful. We didn't have time to make it to the cemetery because we had to catch our train but I wish we had...it looks amazing in pictures.
