Blaze and He made it!!

I am, for the first time in my 35 years of life -- a dog owner. True as a young child my family had a few dogs but I had about as much to do with them as well I don't know, very little. I have wanted a dog for my kids for about 8 years but living in the "hood" Cory would hear none of it. Now that we live "out" he can no longer deny me. I've been looking for a few weeks, then Julia and Brind found this little guy for us. He is AMAZING!! He and Duncan are best friends. Tonight Cory and I were harnessing up the two dogs (Duncan is Brind's dog which we are watching) and Benny comes out and says "I want to go!" Bennett never WANTS to go running, so I was super excited. She threw on her runners and we were off. She was worried that she wouldn't make it the 2.3 very hilly miles. Oh she made it all right and loved it then did another mile around the house:) Who knew all I needed to do was buy her a cute little running buddy.

On another note Jackson made it through the first day. Although he did look a little worn out by the time I picked him up after football practice, his only kerfuffle was sitting down in a German class he thought was suppose to be science --hehe.

For now--some summer pics

I was hesitant to post after Mindi's post about her drive with Lydia, but I also know how much love our family has for each other, and one way to show that is to continue this blog--sharing our life and memories with one another. I wish I had some pics of Lydia to share (I will look!) and some specific memories. I will say, that after the initial extreme intimidation I felt towards the tall, beautiful, Rigby girls, I almost immediately was able to see that they had the warmest, most kind, thoughtful way about them...something that made me hate them even more (kidding!). Lydia will be remembered for her creativity, for her sense of humor, and in my mind, sincere heart. Love you, Lydia..and my heart goes out to each of you Rigbys.

A sweet one of Meag's visit
Pool time--when it was still fun.
Cole's worst season of soccer EVER.
Camping out near beautiful Natural Bridge
Look! Family time makes for moments like these!!
 Biggest poser of all.
 Best brother of all.

The dress we found AFTER Dayne's baptism--at a thrift store. Gorgeous. Maybe we'll save it for Junie's special day.
