Happy Birthday, Ellynn!

Ellynn,
I have a great picture of you and my kids in Moab on an easter egg hunt.  I can't post it here because it is no where to be found, but close your eyes and remember how wonderful that moment was.  We really love your guts.  And like I told you in December, I'm amazed with your peacemaking skills.  You have lots of skills.
love mindi

Sweet Birthday Girl!

Isn't sad that this is the only picture I have of you? Oh, well... you know how much I love you! I hope you have a FABULOUS birthday!

You are so beautiful.., to me.

"They say it's your birthday...nah nah, nah nah nah. It's my birthday too!" No, it's not really my birthday, too..that song has just been in my head lately. I'm in a sing song mood, I guess.

Ellynn!! We LOVE you! You're so fun, real, sincere, silly...we ADORE you (is that weird?). Hope your day is wonderful, just WONDERFUL!!

Grandma St. Patty's Day Party

As I type, the kids are off running towards the water towers behind the house (dressed in green) looking for one of the last clues of their scavenger hunt. We're a little late, but Le Anne likes to party, so todays the day for her annual (I believe?) St. Patty's Day party. She (and Meagan) made an all green meal consisting of split pea soup, green jello (with carrots and potato), green grapes and apples, green sunflower seeds..and of course, yummy clover shaped sugar cookies sprinkled with green sugar crystals. The kids are in heaven. We only wish the rest of you could be here. And, it finally stopped raining!! Thank you for that!!

Christmas..or, St. Patty's Day? (; I'm kidding!!A rare moment, Geof. smiling for the camera.

The creator of dreams. I've always noticed that about Le Anne. She goes out of her way to make things special happen for people. If I say I want german pancakes for my birthday (or a piano...remember??), she makes 5 of 'em! She's amazing. It brings her great joy to serve others.
Cutest green leprechaun.

Tired little leprechaun..but boy, was her outfit cute!!

Colorado Bennett

This was a wonderful spring weekend.  Both Sierra and Kaia had two different birthday parties to attend on Saturday.  Our seeds for our square foot garden are sprouting.  We've spent lots of time being spoiled by Gram and Pop.  Sierra is the game queen and we set up a "memory" game using business cards from Adam and I's failed businesses.  I really can't say enough wonderful things about our ward and the little Sunday School class I teach.  Adam has had a few small job leads and will probably start up a company or two of his own.  He is also training as hard as ever for his 100 mile mountain bike race.  Life is good.

Photographer Cole

We gave Cole our old camera recently, and he's really had a fun time taking shots throughout the house. I probably should of posted some of the artsier, angled shots of the stairs, rugs, close ups of people's faces, etc., but this is probably more interesting to the reader.
June always knows when we're brushing our teeth. She comes in and in her 21 month old voice calls out "tee tee!", to which we promptly hand her her own.I think I was getting ready for our Anniversary date.
Little Finners! Ellynn came over last week and made yummy biscuits while we watched Finn on the red chair. So adorable, this boy!

The scary monster that lives upstairs. (;

Just remember Le Anne, Cole took the pic...it's all for documented purposes.

Don't look at the downstairs mess...and the fact that it's probably close to 2 pm and I'm still in my PJs looking horrendous.

the mamma

wow i just realized i never wrote a blog for my mom…….well mommy what can i say more?  you are my best friend and the greatest influence in my life.  good thing i have cory to take a little pressure off you, but still i NEVER get enough time with you…..   is as proven in my never leaving.

i love you little mamma

another happy birthday

well i have been late with every other birthday wish so why keep on keep’n on?  so my sweet brother had his 2? birthday yesterday and i thought i would try to be nice and take their kids for a few hours so that they could have some peace.  then have them over for dinner so that they didn’t have to stress about that either.  however, as you all know i am a crazy psycho.  so instead of a relaxing evening i screamed at both my kids and theirs and dinner was good, but very unorganized and geof. had to run my kid to and from practice and darla had to do all the shopping for dinner (including purchasing beer Ooooh-cheddar/ale soup).  so well it just goes to show what a awesome boy geof. is and what a great wife he picked out.

anyways………….happy birthday to geof. a man who works harder than anyone i know and is so good.  good to the core.  good in  more ways than most of us can comprehend.  God is proving geof. right now like He has many times before and geof. is up for the challenge like he has been many times before.

geoffrey IS greatness

i love you little brother!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I was so excited for St. Patrick's Day this year. I had outfits picked out, corned beef and cabbage bought, green table cloth and candles and daffodils. We did it all. Except Sadie and Ellyn were home sick today and now Sawyer has a fever as well. So we all wore our cute outfits here at home, dosed up on motrin, and enjoyed the evening. We had our family home evening tonight, it was on table manners. We used goblets and everything. We even toasted St. Patty per Sadie's request. Unfortunately Ellyn fell asleep right after the attempt at a kid's picture on the front porch after Jane got home from school. She was not down with the picture taking. Mike got home from work right as we were giving up, he took the family shot. I LOVE his work schedule.

Also, today is my brother Geof's birthday. I love Geof. He is an amazing brother. He is smart and funny and holds many of the same views I do about just about everything. I love talking to Geof and we talk often, considering our schedules. Geof has always had a soft spot in my heart, well all of my siblings have a soft spot in my heart, but I spent alot of years taking care of my cute blond haired little brother. Geoffrey is an amazingly hard worker and has such a zeal for life. He is always trying to do the right thing for his family no matter his own personal sacrifice. I love him. Happy Birthday Geof.

Geof., you're 29!!

My dad sent Geof. a wonderful card yesterday. It read "We sure love you, dear son-in-law. So young, so good and so accomplished. Husband, father, missionary, Pilot, Elder, loving son...and such a great example to all who know you..." This is exactly how I feel. You're are loved by so many, Geof. Especially your babies. Happy birthday. For a video of our Sunday night festivities, check out our blog here.

Battle Ground Lake

We live in such a beautiful area. I was a little worried moving here, thinking I would get used to it and not appreciate it like I always had. Fortunately, I'm still in love. This morning we took the kids on a small hike around Battle Ground Lake. Cole wanted to ride his bike. Bad idea. I carried it most of the way.

Geof. did NOT want to go (hence the grumpy no smile pic) since he was in a bad mood for not having been called in to work today. But while walking, he got a call from the school district asking him to come sub half day at Cole's school. All was well after that. (-:

Dayne actually smiling for a pic! No, that's not a beauty mark, just a left over cold sore we're hoping won't leave a scar.
Plenty of fallen over trees to climb on. Makes for a happy Cole.
