Meags, you're so cute to think that you're going to get some sleep after the baby comes. Kev the other day was like, oh ya, I forgot about how babies don't sleep through the night. I told him it was emblazent upon my memory. I haven't yet forgotten that I didn't get a consecutive 4 hours for like a year. Oh well. But I know what you mean Meagie. I always hated how girls would complain about how uncomfortable they were being pregnant. How they'd readjust their sitting positions and act like they were dying. I don't know if this baby is sitting directly on my gullet (a medical term that my grandpa coined upon freezing his one time) and lungs, but every time I'm sitting I feel like I can't breathe and that I've got the hang-up (another technical term. I hardly expect you laymen to understand).
It sounds like everyone's weekend was fun. I know you guys are all over this stage in your life, but now that I have the computer I'm checking it every couple of hours in hopes that someone will write. I love it. Well, I don't love it, but I do do it. I do. Speaking of loving it, I forgot to write about our Sunday dinner. We were having a semi heated debate about the glory of the blog (those who think it is a waste of time versus those who can't live without it. Mind you, the latter made up about 80% of the room. It was hillarious when Geoffrey came to the rescue with the remark that it provides a source of relief from the rigors of day to day life) when mom said that she gets so overwhelmed with all the ones that she hasn't read that she was going to clean it up a little and just erase the earlier ones. There was a long pause as the blog lovers tried to cough their food up in time to exlplain to mom how that would be a disaster of epic proportions. Mindi calmly explained that if she erased it on her computer, it erases it on every computer. It was pretty funny. Mom, the little computer organizer. Can you imagine? One day we all go to get on and simultaneously all of our hearts stop and we die. Geof. said one day they'll read it in heaven like scripture. Mindi said we're going to print it all off into a book. Either way it was pretty funny thinking of mom trying to "clean up" the blogs on her computer.
Cam, what's going on with the house? Is that one guy going to buy it?
Anyway that's it. Talk to you later. Oh, Brooke I'm working on trying to post some pictures of the house. By trying, I mean I have no idea how to do it and so I just think about it a lot. One day I'll figure it out. Love Leash

Ouch

Friday, the start of a needed 3 day weekend. Monica and I had made plans to take the kids to the park and have a picnic. We had some friends coming to meet us and we were really excited to get out. I got home from work only to find 4 dead birds in my pond. After spending 2 hours emptying the pond and cleaning it I went inside to find a house full of people waiting for me. I asked Monica why she didn't come out and tell me that everyone was there and she made the comment that she learned a long time ago not to interrupt me when I'm frusterated. I have no clue what she's talking about. So, we all decide we'll stop by Subway on the way to the park, when we walk in the kid working says, "you might want to go somewhere else, we are out of lettuce." Subway is right in front of a Smith's Grocery store, why don't they walk over and buy a head of lettuce. Anyway, we left and went to another Subway that did have lettuce. Finally we got to the park, ate dinner and decided to play a little frisbee. We were having a good old time. My friend and I were both running after the frisbee (we were playing 500) and the grass was just a little wet. I was wearing my flip-flop sandals and I slipped. As I went down my little pinky toe rolled under my sandal and "snap" my poor little to was facing the wrong way. Yes, I broke my pinky toe and yes I had to show everyone because the bruise covered the whole side of my foot. I thought it was pretty cool.
Saturday was better. We went to the Bountiful temple to see my niece sealed to my sister and brother-in-law. Harley loved it because she got to play at Heavenly Fathers house. Saturday night we took the kids to see "Madagascar". It was a good show, Harley and Eliza must have liked it more than we did because they both sat and giggled the whole time. Harley hasn't stopped talking about it.
Sunday was beautiful. My sister was up from Vegas so we hung out with them most of the day and spent time at the cemetary.
Monday was supposed to be a day in the sun at Pine View. However, when we woke up it was raining and it rained all morning. The best part about the whole weekend was that I got to stay with my kids the whole time. No matter what went wrong we had fun because we were together!!!

Joel, is doing great. I got a short letter from him today at work. He is working really hard. He seems to be changing, he recommended sushi to anyone who hasn't tried it. They had a baptism scheduled for yesterday so we hope to be hearing some more news there.

Better get back to work. Talk to you all soon.

happy birthday little sadie girl. i can't believe it has been three years. and to see benny so small and with sade is too cute. i loved all the pictures. well i see that jackson is not the only artist in the family, congrats janie bear.

well it sounds like everyone had a fantastic weekend. i wish we had all been together. we also had a very nice weekend. we went up to seattle and it was totally quality. on sat. we went to the arberidum (sp) and took the boats out. it was awsome and i finally got a little color on my oh so white body. i didn't swim or bridge jump because of the huge ball in my belly, but still we had a great time. benny is an animal, scared of nothing. so she swam with danna when no one else would. sun. we went to the locks and saw a huge fishing boat go through, the kids loved it. then mon. we went to the folk life festival in down town. cory said the funnest part was watching dad watch all the hippies. he said it was worse than going to rei. we had a really good time.

now we are back to real life. but that's ok. benny learned how to ride her bike this last week, it only took two days. she didn't ride all weekend then came home got right back on and flew. it took jackson a couple of weeks to master the turn, ben has already got it down. jackson also had a hard time with the starting, and needed help for a few months, yes ben has already got that down too. all of this in three days. like i said she is an animal. i think the reason she is so good is her amazing balance. she can sit on her bike, feet on peddles and balance there. i think we are going to try her on the unicycle next.

well the rain is back so i am just going to go crazy for the next 30 days until the baby is born. all though i am trying to get my mid wife to take her early. i just don't think i can go without sleep for that many more days.

i love you all, and all that ...................me

Alicia

Well it's always fun for me to be around other moms with young kids. The only bad part is, it's really made me realize just how sickeningly spoiled Clo is. Oh, and that I'm not as patient as I'd like to think I am. Mindi made me look like "Mommy Dearest." I always said I wouldn't be one of those moms that followed kids around, spoon feeding them, coaxing them into eating. Ya right. The only problem is, she won't eat on her own then she spirals into hypoglycemic mode and we're all miserable. Anyway I've decided I'm going to leave Clo with a hitman who also owns a dog in an effort to toughen her up. My problem is, I'll give her anything as long as she'll stop crying. No more. Mindi, you are my new hero and I'm going to strive to be just like you.
Brookie, you're weekend sounded so fun. I can't wait until we start going to the lake so we can just play on the boat and at the beach all day.
Lydi, I hope you can get to a computer every once in a while so you can tell us how it's going at the resort for children. Mom was over here this morning and just out of the blue was like "I really think she's going to freeze, she wouldn't even take a fleece. I mean a fleece is like the best thing you can have.....etc." Ya, it's been like A day since you left. She was all homesick for you yesterday and I'm like, she hasn't even been gone 12 hours! Anyway it was a superduper weekend and I just wish that the rest of you could've been here. Ok, talk to you later. Love Leash

Recipe

Min- it was too funny reading your painting story. I can totally relate. When we lived in Oklahoma I think I put 6 coats of paint on my "accent" wall. The worst part was, I would think I liked it and I would put my bookshelf back into place and load all the books back on and hang the pictures and then decide I didn't like it and have to unload the bookcase and drag it back across the room, etc... Made me crazy. I am so happy that you get to be downstairs now. I know what a pain it is living on the second story with two little girls. Jess, saw the pictures of your hair after I blocked. It is VERY CUTE. Alicia, I would love pictures of your house one of these days. I'm impressed- roses!

Okay, Brown Sugar Syrup Recipe

1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/8-1/4 cup water (I do 1/4)
1/2 tsp vanilla

Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Boil one minute and serve hot. Obviously if there is a large group you will need to double or triple of quadruple the recipe. Adam and Mindi, remember a single recipe did you guys, me, some for the little girls, and some for Mike and Jane, but not a full serving.

I love you guys

Brooke

ColoradoBennett

Howdy. Hey Brooke, we (Adam, Geof., Jessica, Sierra, Kaia, Kevin, Alicia, and Chloe) were all just sitting around talking about how you need to post your syrup recipe. Adam just can't stop raving about the deliciousness. Kaia is very very close to walking over to Jessica right now. Alicia just walked in with a beautiful bouquet of fire and ice roses that she grows in her very own yard. Their house is superdooper. We are currently camping out in Chloe's room wich is skillfully painted two delightful colors of pink. Adam has fired me from any house painting. I tried to go for an aquatic faux painting thing in our bathroom. The walls turned out ok and I was able to cover most mistakes with a fish stencil. But I really should have listened to Adam when he said to keep the ceiling white. I almost threw out my back trying to be Michelangelo and ended up doing 4 layers and none turned out right. The last layer was a green, trying to cover the mistakes I made with the blue and the combo of the two colors looks like brown seaweed. But what do I care, we now live downstairs and I have a new bathroom to express my artistic talent. Anyway, Utah has been a blast. The garage sales, staying with the Hatchs', crashing the other Hatchs' BBQ, swimming at Joan's, going to church with Geof. and having him introduce me as his sister because he thought every one would think it was weird that he and his sister-in-law were out of town together and at church alone, and now we are off to aunt Jack's. "Block" out, baby.

Welcome back cuz!

Leash, so happy to see you blogging again. Did Chloe just turn 2? Is that right? For some reason I'm thinking she is older, but I could be wrong.
Well Mike's sister Annie, and her husband Peter are here this weekend and we are having a great time. I am anyway, I hope they are as well. Yesterday we spent the day at the lake with some friends jetskiing and boating. They had a tube that you drag behind that had a bull on it. Yes, it was quite fun, I think that is as close to real bull riding as I'll ever get. Mike took me out on the jet ski and did his best to try to get us to biff but I held on and he failed. Then it was my turn to drive and I came around the one side while he leaned to the other and I was almost in place before we tipped over. Then we couldn't get back on to save our lives. One of us would make it and then we would tip while the other one was attmepting to climb up. We were laughing so hard our attempts just became more and more ridiculous. Finally our friend Todd came by with Jane and Savannah and picked Mike up and I stayed out on the jet ski for awhile. It was great. Sadie and her little friend Addyson played on the lawn at the house the whole time. There were two baby pools and a slip and slide and they just loved it. Ellyn just played with anyone who wasn't on the boat. It was beautiful. We brought cupcakes out with us and sang happy birthday to Sadie. A wonderful way to spend a Saturday. Every night we start a movie and I poop out and take the babies to bed. I guess that means I'm getting old.

Jane's last day of school was Friday. Yeah!! We were invited to a special honor's assembly where Jane was recognized for all A's all year and for Outstanding Artist for the third grade by the Fine Arts teacher. We are very proud of her. She realized at field day that she could not jump rope worth beans with a normal jump rope (she always jump roped with her hoola hoop) so we bought her a jump rope (Bailey had eaten her last two) and she has spent the past week mastering this skill. I am proud of her perseverance (sp?). She has it down and is now obsessed. She and her friends have been jump roping non stop all week.

Ellyn has been doing some more balancing and has actually taken two steps, twice. Progress. She loves Anne and Peter. They are so cute with her, all the girls for that matter.

Sadie had a great birthday. I can't believe it has already been three years. She has been singing for us quite a bit this weekend. Songs she has written herself. Quite a treat. American Idol really inspired her.

Well that's our weekend. Sounds like everyone is having fun in their various family groups. I am so grateful for my family, on both sides. I love you all. Love, Brooke

I'm Baaaaaackkkk!

We finally have the froggin internet! I'm so happy. Mindi, Adam and the girls got here at like 2 in the morning and we've been playing all day. Clo woke up and came to the top of the stairs with an open mouth in awe of the friends she'd acquired in the night. She and Sierra were making laps around the kitchen table within five minutes of reuniting. It was darling. Anyway I think I'm caught up on the blogs, it only took like 25 minutes. I took notes so I could remember what to write about. First, Cor, you're probably tired of hearing it, but I honked for like 13 seconds reading about Peter Pansy. Fantastic block. Also Meags I love the pregnant laugh. It's one of the perks of pregnancy for me. Everything is a lot funnier to me for some reason when I'm pregnant.
Anyway, so today we went garage sale-ing with Adam and Mindi. We met up with Geoffie, Darla and co. at Dan's grocery store for the Memorial Day - 3 for a dollar hot dogs and corn on a stick - sale. Lyd brought the uni, complete with ski poles. So here we all are, eating hot dogs under a tree in the parking lot, the kids running wild, all while Adam and Geof were trying their hand at the uni. It looked like the circus was in town. As luck would have it, Uncle Sharm and Aunt Mardie showed up for the hot dogs as well. It was so cool to have them see all of us. Every time I see him I think of Grandma. I was thinking how much she would like to have been there. Anyway then we all went over to Joanies to swim. I even got my Kev to go. It was a really good day.
Yesterday I got to plant some flowers in my yard. Clo was helping when she decided to strip off her swimsuit (which she insisted on wearing ever since mom bought her a wading pool, just in case she needs to hop in) and help me water the flowers naked. She has this little watering can and she was all business. Naked. I'm sure the neighbors were impressed. It was just like on her birthday. We were all at the park when she decided she was way too over dressed. I probably should stop her, but she gets so darn happy when she's buck. Go figure.
So Lyd left tonight. I couldn't even say goodbye without crying. I'm going to miss you little cubbie. Write us and tell us everything as soon as you can.
Ok, so that's it. Geof, Kev and Adam are watching a movie and this is the latest I've been up since Kev and I were dating, so I'm outta here. I'm so happy to be back in the circuit. I'll talk to you all later. Love Leash

What a second says Joan

Okay I'm not very bright when it comes to computers also. I hit something and either it sent what I all ready wrote or it didn't. Oh well you aren't missing much. Well if it didn't send what I wrote, this is short and sweet. I'm hooked, probably won't write everytime but I feel pretty proud that I have kept up on my reading. Take care. Lyd we will miss you. Please remember the camping trip when you get home. Love, Joan

Thank you

Thanks Cory. Hey Kim S. tells us that Coldplay (ed. by Mike who actually knows who the band is) is playing the 17th of August at Clark County something or other. I'm sure you know. I don't know how much tickets are but I want to look into it, anyone else? Blog out. Brooke

for brooke

Hey there Brooke. This is Cory speaking. Click here to register Jane for soccer. I was going to do it for you, but it asks a lot of stuff about insurance crud. I figured that since you are such a teknoGeek, you would probably prefer to do it online anyways. Best of luck. -cory

Hello Everyone. I haven't posted for a few days and it feels so wrong, I almost feel like I'm naked in public. Everyone sounds wonderful. As you can see, I have converted my Mother to joining. Cory, I throughly enjoyed your blog. I was also laughing with all of my might. It was great. I am so happy about Carrie winning!!! I love her. For my Birthday from my friends from work I got tickets to go to the American Idol show that is going on tour. It comes to SLC August 23rd I think. The top 10 are going to be there. I'm real excited. They got me two tickets on the 11th row, so if you want to join me, start proving yourself now. :) Ha ha. Anyways, work has been real ridiculous. My computer is still jacked up, therefore I am so far behind. It is stressing me out. I hate it. Plus, it is sheer madness at the office. Our company golf tournament is tomorrow and there has been a lot of preparing going on. I will be glad when it calms down. That's it for now. I'm boring. I don't have birthday parties, moving, or children to deal with. Love you. Chels

licking a frog Lyd

Brooke

oops- road bike not mountain bike

Okay, I'm sorry to have read that one wrong. I can much more easily see Auntie Joan road biking verses mountain biking, and I'm not nearly so worried about your teeth.

Jess, thanks for the update on Leash. As far as AI, I did tear up last night. Ridiculous, it must be because I'm 30 and a mom. It was so cute seeing her grandpa and her family. I think Bo will do fine as well. I was laughing when they gave them the cars and he asked if they got to keep them whether or not they won. Funny, funny.

Jane went to her friends b-day party last night. She came home with a french pedicure w/flowers, chandalier earrings, those fake hair pieces that match your own color in braids and curls, and bright red lipstick. It was grown-up girls night at the mall. Not something I would do- I am way too cheap and old-fashioned, but she had alot of fun AND she looked really cute. Yeah, for her b-day we are having a pioneer b-day (have I told you all how into Little House on the Prairie she is?) We are doing it up in Washington with both families and we are going to do kick the can ice-cream, a pie eating contest, tug o' war, three-legged race, etc... and cook out. Okay, that is from being in the south for 4 years. If you are having a BBQ down here it means you are slow cooking meat all day, smoking it or what have you. If you are grilling burgers or hot dogs etc... it is cooking out or grilling.

Ellyn is a traitor. She is working for China and they think I have valuable information. They have trained her in the art of torture through sleep deprivation. Any day now I am going to have to give up my secret blueberry bread recipe. I just can't take it anymore.

Alright, I love you all and I probably won't write again until Sunday. Mike's sister and her husband will be here tomorrow and Jane's honors breakfast is in the morning (straight A's all year), and Sadie's b-day is on Saturday and no, I am not spending $300 on her party. Just as much as I have to for a cake mix and some balloons. I've drawn a blank for a cute ending, just as I did last night. love ya, Brooke

Go Carrie-Jessica

Well we just finished AI and I nearly cried when Carrie won. I was so happy. I love Bo too but I think he will still do well even though he didn't win.

Lydia is leaving for Maine on Saturday so the whole fam went to a "goodbye" dinner. It was so fun. Chloe came to and she behaved so well. Kev said it was the best he had ever seen her be while out to eat.

Cor, I couldn't be more happy to see you on the "block," and I am proud of you for figuring out these fandangled machines that are so foreign to you. I was literally laughing so hard when I read the locks of shmocks part. Now I have a suggestion and I want you to be open to this...how about the next time I see you you do the worm while wearing your Peter Pansy outfit. That would be amazing. Meags, by the way it is called the worm not the catepillar. I was telling Tony the story and I said Cory was doing the catepillar. He was like, "uhhm it's the worm." Oopsy. Anywho the vision of Cory doing the worm is breathtaking. Also the reason I was able to read your blog is because it shows up as a "draft" until you post it. Weird, I just figured that out tonight.

Brookie, at the moment Alicia is trying to get internet at her new house. I don't think she has been to mom's in a while and when she is here she is helping them paint. Did you all know that mom and dad have decided to repaint the whole upstairs. It is turning out great but it is a HUGE job. I wish my hair would go curly/wavy and look pretty. I am still trying to figure out this new haircut. I will definitly try to send pics, in fact, I think mom is getting ready to send some and she has pics of me on it.

Just a little side note, Cam mentioned AJ playing "Waterfall." Well it is a piece written by an extremely talented pianist from Utah named John Schmidt. His cd's are sold at Deseret Book and other places if you are interested. We have all of his cd's, he is awesome. Anyway, the songs are soooo hard. AJ is AMAZING at playing the piano. Tony is pretty good and he has a hard time at playing "Waterfall" because it is hard so you know AJ is just awesome. I am so proud of our little cousin.

Here is something freaky that happened. Boys plug your ears if you don't want to hear. I had to go to the Dr. because I had a urinary tract infection and I had to give a urine sample. The Dr. said it was pure blood. I was FREAKING. I was so scared, I started crying and I was like, "Is that normal?" A few antibiotics later and I am fit as a fiddle. Well that is my drama for the week. Nothing new to report. I am sorry mine are always so long I will write more often so this won't happen. I love you all and can't wait to see some of you this weekend. "Block" out. Jess

FABULOUS!!!!- Brooke

I can't believe how great today is in the Beecher blogging world-blogging, not blocking my dear sweet Cory. Joanie, Joanie, sweet, sweet aunt Joan, I was so amazed when I read Cory's blog this morning...so excited. Yours sent me into total bliss. It was so good to hear about you and the girls. I can't believe they are all so grown up. I want to see you mountain biking. Do you wear a mouth guard? My biggest fear is knocking out teeth. Please continue to write, we all love it.

Jess, you can't tell us something so earth shattering and then not immediately post pics on the blog or on o-foto. I am positive that you look darling, but I really want to see it. I'm finally getting some length to my hair again and a friend was commenting on it the other day. She asked if I was growing it all out and cutting it off like our friend Emily did for Locks of Love. Yeah, I told her no way. It takes me way too long to grow out. That's the selfish girl I am. The only reason I haven't wanted to cut it this time is because it has all of the sudden become naturally curly/wavy. I don't really have to do anything to it and I can still wear it down. It is my dream hair right now. I'm waiting to wake up and find out that in reality I have a flat top.

Cory, your Robin Hood story brought tears to my eyes. For two reasons. I was so sad for you as a little boy, calling out for Little John and...it was a very funny story. You had better keep writing as well. You make me laugh way too hard.

Cameron, I am so proud of Jan. I can't believe that. If you remember, tell him we think he's awesome, especially for being so normal about it. It sounds like Harley and Sadie would have so much fun together. They would be two peas in a pod.

Okay, I didn't take notes and now I can't remember what else I was going to write about. Oh, Chelsea, I'm so sorry you were sick. Especially for your b-day. Darla, it doesn't get easier as far as work you have to do and finding times to do it. But...you will work out a way of doing things and then it should be easier.

So Sadie has spent the last 24 hours either throwing up or running for the potty. Poor kid. Last night she threw up four times. The second to the last time she didn't wake up before she started so it was all over her and in her hair and the sheets and the pillow. This was at 4:30 after Ellyn had been awake since 3:30 am. Mike took Ellyn to the recliner where he had been relegated for the night and I bathed Sadie and changed sheets etc... She is doing much better now though. In fact she's free falling from the coffee table to the couch even as I write. So all the girls took their turns being sick this week.
Fun at our house.
Okay, do you want to hear about the stupidest bruise ever? Last night I was bathing the girls in the tub. I stood up and the inside of my upper arms stuck to the tub and within seconds it made a huge ugly purple bruise on my right arm. How random is that? Another stupid thing. I thought that 24 would start at 9:00 and I missed the first hour. So mad about that one. Other bad thing. Mike and I have figured out that we are going to have to move ourselves. We have so much to divide up between mom's house and storage and I'll need to know what is in every box in case I need it during the next year. Yuck! So Adam and Mindi I feel your pain. I now feel this move hanging over my head every waking minute. I think that is my list of fun. I know you are all sooo glad I wrote. Jess, does Alicia not have a computer? Is that why we don't hear from her? I miss her. Okay, so now I'm really done. By the way, Meagan I enjoyed your blogs greatly. They made me laugh. Poor Bennett, she's just traumatized by her mother's good mood. The End

Joan pushed by Chelsea

Well I heard about this site about 2 months ago. I'm one that never gets on the internet or reads my e-mails anymore. When my oldest daughter informed me that I was "stupid" for not reading these I decided I better get on the ball. Unfortunately I have Ashley breathing done my neck to get on the internet. I'm sorry that I haven't read any of the others but I will try to get caught up and will stay on top of it from here on out. (Again, by Cortney, I was just told to get "off"). To catch you up to date, as for Chelsea, I don't see too much of her but she has shown up to my Body Pump class two times now. Also I see her at Lindsey's b-games, probably the high light of our family right now. Cortney, she is busy at working at the dry cleaners and spending as much time with Rodger as the "rules" will let her. Rodger, great kid, we love him. (That's Cortney's boyfriend) Ashley, working on the world's biggest World Fact Report ever. She is retiring cheerleading for this year. Pretty proud of her for doing that. Friends are her life, well except her outstanding grades. She wants me to put that she has also been to my classes. Lindsey, my life saver for this week. She always helps me when I need it. This week it is the sprinkling system. Only had to repair 9. Her little muscles at helping pretty much pulled out 2 different pipes. I would ususally cry at this point, but she makes me laugh. Maybe this is a proud parent for saying this but she is incredible to watch play softball. Maybe she will get her picture in the paper one of these days like Jan!! As for me, busy teaching 4 days a week, working 4 days a week and trying to get my yard in shape. I also road bike. Omar and I (Omar is my boyfriend, sounds weird for my age) we road the Salt Lake Century last Saturday. Well there you have it. Hope everyone is doing well. Oh yes and I get to work with Jessica and her hair is dang cute. I cut mine all off 2 weeks ago. Love you all!! Joan

cory-i love you!

Okay...so I'm writing this while trying to balance little Dayne's (okay...not so little)head from wobbling around while Cole jumps on my back...all the while trying to keep the both of them quiet while Geof. sleeps in the next room (graveyard shift). i'm not gonna say much...just that Cory, would you PLEASE write every day on the blog? I was laughing so hard I practically peed my pants..well maybe I did...who cares. I just had a baby right? So the whole Peter Pansy thing was so freaking hilarious. I haven't talked to Geof. yet about it but that'll be a good laugh for the both of us. This family has quite the sense of humor. Anyway, the wedding reception was completely nutzo. We should of left earlier but Geof. and I couldn't stop eating...yummy yum food!! Too bad we're too cheap though and didn't even bring a gift...shhh...don't tell. Okay. love you all. Gotta run. Dayne has a doctor's appt. today and we're just praying they'll let us take those oxygen tubes out! ~Darla~ p.s. Adam and Mindi...isn't moving great?....not so much

Crabbs

I thought I'd drop in with an update on the Robbins Family.

Bill, Paula and Jordan are all in Hawaii enjoying the tropical islands. I heard Jordan spent the day yesterday skydiving. He is over there visiting a certain female that he seems to have fallen for. While they are away Monica, the girls and I are staying with Jan, AJ and Kel. It has been fun and they always have something going on so we are busy as well.

Most of you know by now that Jan and his team took first place in the State Championship. His fame continues to spread as the Standard Examiner voted him the All Area MVP for High School soccer this year. The Deseret News and the Salt Lake Tribune aslo voted him for the 1st team all-state. His team also voted him the tournament MVP. Since the State Chamionship he has had interviews and photo shoots with the newspapers. In fact he had a photo shoot yesterday and the photographer wanted an action shot so he told Jan to dive at him. Jan did and as his feet came down they hit the camera and broke the lens right off the camera. We're talking $$$ in damage. Luckily the photographer was cool and told Jan that's why they carry insurance on all their equipment. Last night he met with the Ogden City Council and they gave him some kind of certificate. Their team also was honored at half time at the Salt Lake Real game the other night. The amazing thing is that after all this his head hasn't swollen too big. It has been fun though to watch him go through it.

AJ is your typical teenager with a lot of friends and always out with them. His piano playing is still amazing and gets better all the time. They had a recital the other night and everyone was floored at how well he played "Waterfall"?.

Kel just finished his soccer season as well and has started his baseball season. The kid just excels at everything he does. It makes me feel retarded some times with all the talent that is in this family. Monica is still singing every chance she gets and Jordan is singing and dancing in one of the Lagoon shows for the summer.

I haven't heard from Joel for a couple weeks but when I do I'll keep you all posted as to what's going on in Japan. I think his first companion has now gone home so he will be experiencing that adjustment now.

Our little family is doing great. Harley has her first dance recitel in a couple weeks. She is excited but I think next year she wants to try Gymnastics instead. She loves watching her princess movies and taking them away seems to be the only form of punishment she pays attention to. Luckily Eliza is not so into that stuff. She entertains herself so well. Playing outside is what she'll choose to do everytime. I like that because I'm outside in my yard a lot working so she comes and plays by me.

Well, now that you have all fallen asleep. WAKE UP. I'm finished. Until next time.

Random Blog from Povo

Okay so there are tears in my eyes. Cory if you don’t blog often I will kill you because that was truly poetic. True I think of you 45 % of the time but merely the physical you is depicted in my minds eye and that is beauty. I agree with the locks thing. I have never received hair from some do gooder woman and I have managed to still be really really really ridiculously good looking. The wedding of Randa was great. The advice from the sealer was poignant and copious. Unfortunately for Darla there was a little too much advice and the babes were in the waiting room with our friend Peter while the temple staff prayed for the parents to come take the terrible twosome from their midst. Don’t worry things got better as the day went on. We took Cole out to eat with friend Peter and he was loco. At the reception he kept pulling his pants off and throwing them onto people tables. Then he would make mad dashes to get on the elevators in the Joseph Smith Memorial building. For some Bennett’s you would be interested to know the former Elder Jared Hunt was in attendance with his kind of fiancé and seems to be doing well. Daniel is still the cutest boy and Chanda wouldn’t talk to me because through my lack of actions her daughter is now moving to Brazil. I’m just joking but only maybe since she didn’t talk to me. Alright I love you all. Let’s get together and have a 24 party sometime and Chelsea I have a good friend who goes to the LDS Business College named Peter Kroff who you need to hang out with. Lyd you’re in on that too. Alright I’m gonna get back to my rigorous job of reading.
P.S. I will hang out with you again Jessica when your hair is once again long until then I will just have to carry old pictures of your great hair around with me.

c-dog says:

Hey there all. I followed Meagan's instructions on how to turn this computer thing on and 'log in' or whatever, so now I can write entries in the block too.
It seems that the thing to do is comment on the last couple of posts or whatever so here goes...

Being hot sucks, so Adam, I really feel you. I mean feel for you. I'm sorry you have to move too. All in all, I have a lot of sympathy for you right now. I also think you're a great guy. Whatever kind of soap you use in the shower makes you smell real good too.

Jessica, you would be adorable if you shaved off all of your hair, no doubt about it. I will also guarantee that your days of being mistaken for a boy are over, no doubt about that either. However, let's not get too carried away with this haircutting thing. Cutting your hair destroys the lives of people around you. Take it from me. Locks of Love, Schmocks of Love. If people can't grow their own freaking hair, then boo hoo.

Darla. No, it does not get easier. In fact, you will be wishing for these days in a year or two. Not to sound negative, kids are great and all, and the tax deducts are more than worth it. I am glad that your place is a little cleaner though. It sure makes life easier. Oh, by the way, next time, get the spelling on Sister Hunt's name correct... its spelled Randhnxpz.

Chelsea... I'm glad to hear you're not actually dead. When I saw your title today in the office I let out a little yell and ran out the door. Crying, gasping, into the mouthpiece of the phone, Meags assured me that you were only sick. Let's be careful when choosing our words from now on, okay? Other than that, I'm sorry work is so busy and you're always playing catch up. I can definitely sympathize. I also bet you're really tan.

I had a birthday party like that too, once, Mindi. My mom mixed up a bunch of buckwheat with some homemade yogurt, and, well, that's it. I guess the only similarity it had to Jay's birthday party was that it looked like mud. But hey, I had to take every treat I could get, so I was pretty happy. I'm sorry that you have to move too. It seems like everyone I know is moving. This one guy I know, named Adam, has to move all his crap downstairs, kind of like you. Sounds like its too hot for moving, I say.

Brooke, when I was in second grade for halloween, I wanted to be Robin Hood, so Mom made me a little green skirt and I wore some green nylons. When I got to school, all the other kids were dressed like loggers like their dads. I tried so hard that day to convince the others that I was Robin Hood, and they just laughed and pointed at me and called me Peter Pan and Peter Pansy and stuff. I kept calling for Little John but they only laughed harder. Anyways, if you ever want your own costume for a Peter Pan party, you can use mine. Even if it is really a macho Robin Hood suit.

I'm sorry you had to have Cole in church, Geof. But man, I would have loved to have seen that kid go after the Bishop. I would have laughed so hard. I'd point at you and call you Peter Pansy and stuff. I'm sorry you burnt your leg too. Burns are stupid. And they hurt like the dickens. I liked your quote too, but I don't buy it. I know that everyone spends at least 45% of their life thinking about how dumb I am.

And finally, for Meags, you are a freaking good cook. You are very strong and full of muscles and I'm sorry that you are pregnant. If I was around, you could use my shoulder to cry on. But for now, the block is going to have to work.

So that's it I guess. This blocking is a lot of work. I haven't even talked about myself yet and I'm probably out of room, and this computer thing could probably use a rest. It sounds like its breathing hard... (what's in those things, anyways?)

talk to you all later- cory

mega me

mindi, your blog cracked me up. "you know i do" at the end was perfect. jay's cake sounds rad, i'm going to do that for one of my boys next year.
brooke your birthdays sound sick and wrong!! what a freaking waist of money and trying to one up everyone else. i hate compitition!!! unless i'm winning that is. jk!
geof. i want to play in the mountains, but on a mountain bike not a moto. but it still sounds like fun.
the boys had a blast at father and sons. and spent the whole time in puddles up past their boot tops. wil slept very poorly, but his eardrum burst the next day, so that explains it. they came home soaking wet and very happy.
cor and i were talking about dancing at weddings and such when he decided to do the catapillar. he hit the ground so hard, with his feet basically just slapping the floor. do you all have the mental image? it was the funniest thing i have seen in a life time. i started laughing so hard i couldn't stop. the fat laugh was going in full force. i was out of breath and tears were rolling down my chubby cheeks. bennett was so scared, she was begging me to "please stop".
i got to talk to brind last ningt, not trying to rub it in or anything, but it was awsome. he is even sweeter than he was before. for all of you here for his graduation you remeber how he would rather play with us than go out with his friend on grad night, well he's even sweeter than that. he didn't really have A tape worm. he had 3. yes 3 tape worms. he thought when he got rid of them he would gain some weight, but he hasn't. well about 5 lbs, now he weighs 180 at 6'5 or 4 wich ever that's not enough. he sounds really cute. he talks with a little accent. i love that kid so dang much.
so jess i don't know how you read my blog i hadn't even finished and posted it yet. we must have some crazy connection. i am so excited about your hair. i have to see a picture!!! i know what you mean about the bun thing. that is why i cut my hair. why have it long if you just wear it up 24/7. yes i think i have heard that birth control makes you sensitive to the sun. another reason to just go off it and have a baby. i hate that crap, but it will be my best friend after this baby is born. brian has one boy and this new one coming. and no he doesn't live in london, he lives about 5 mins from you, by my old scarry high school.
darla it does get easier with two. but once you have three just kiss yourself goodbye. i'm so glad dayne is doing well i can't wait to see her. and cole probably will chill a bit. my kids always did, god seems to help with that.
chels i'm sorry you were sick on your birthday. that sucks. cory had the same experience two years ago. we went backpacking and were hiking out on his 25 birthday. he was worried about me because we had wil and he was only 4 months old. so he was making sure i ate enough and had water, but didn't do the same for himself. so we get out into the 90 heat with humid bushes all around us and started hiking straight out of this ravene. cory got so sick he couldn't walk. i finally convinced him to let me carry his pack. so i had my pack with wil and his pack. he said it was a good thing he was comfortable with his manhood. it was really funny after he felt better.
any ways i must go, wil is saying, "mama jean allen yets go." and so i must.
blog you later..............me

Seattle Bennett living in Colorado

I hate the heat this last week it has been 90's for three days hence me hanging in the kitty pool anything over about 75 is too hot unless I am in the water give me Mexico as long as I have the beach. So with that in mind Chels I will be at your mom's house all weekend hanging in the pool.
so Mindi and I rented out our house yesterday but instead of renting out the downstairs as usual we are renting out the part we live in and moving downstairs we have to be downstairs by the time we leave Friday what a mess I hate moving we have 2 huge closets full of junk it is going to be horrible I wish we could get rid of half this crap.
24 what can be said about 24 that hasn't already been said after getting hooked at the start of the third season I bought the first and second and watched all 48 hours worth in about 2 weeks there were a few days where I did not go to bed, it is so intense. you know who else likes 24 Rush Limbaugh. poor Jack after all his service he now has to go into hiding although he will get to chill on a beech in Mexico what is his daughter going to do but you could have known Audrey was not going to work I mean how many relationships has he been in and yet none of them workout.
I think without the OC or 24 plus I have caught up on all of the CSI I will have to cut TV out of the diet for the summer. well take it easy I'm off to move downstairs

12 years in the making-Jessica

Well peeps-I've got some news...maybe bad...maybe good...depending on how you look at it. I got in the shower Sunday morning and after seriously a half hour of trying to comb out my hair and then just wearing it in the normal wet bun I decided to do the unthinkable, the unimaginable. I decided, what is the point of having long hair if I always wear it in a wet bun. So I went for it. I chopped off 10 inches. The good part is I sent it to locks of love so some little kid will be wearing my hair. It is soooooooo weird. I started crying when we cut it. I have been growing my hair out since I was mistaken for a boy in the 7th grade because of my short hair and flat chest. I'm still working through that. It is to my chin now. I think it is pretty darn cute.

Well the blogs were great. Brooke, I think you should tell the school. If you just tell them the story it won't be a complaint and then hopefully they can improve from it. I cannot believe the Peter Pan Party. She seriously has too much time on her hands. Get a life lady. JK That was a funny story about Sadie holding the thermometer up to the light, she must have learned that from my dad. We call it, "Sundayitis" around the Rigby house. We teach sunday school too. The 13 and 14 year olds. Sometimes they combine other classes with ours if the teacher doesn't show. One time I had 20 teenagers and unfortunatly it was on the week that Tony was at work. Luckily I am in the "cool" stage too although sometimes they think they can just play all through the class and that I will be "down" with that. It is drama when Tony isn't there. I do love it though. They are sooo smart.

Meags, how many kids does Brian have now, are they still in London? If only I could see Cory do the catepillar. I'd like to put in a request right now to see that on the next visit. Say no more about the fat laugh, Leash calls it her pregnant laugh. Julia Roberts was on Oprah when she was prego and had the same kind of laugh, it was funny. I didn't know poor Brinders had tape worm. When I was little I thought the only way to get rid of them was to dangle a piece of meat over your mouth and wait several hours for it to eat the meat and then grab the worm and pull it out. I pictured a freaking boa constrictor coming out of my mouth and was horrified of getting tape worm.

I didn't know Randa was getting married. Hooray for her. That is funny she is moving to Brazil. What an experience.

Mindi, this Liberty Belle Tillman-Dick you speak of, is that her actual name? I was shocked to hear Brinders was writing her only because he is writing one of Lyd's friends from High School who happens to be my really good friend from HS little sister. I hear she has fallen madly in love with him. I was really rooting for them to get married. This may throw a wrench into my eternal plan for them. Oh well, we will see. What is the "you know I do" from. Is it really from Napoleon? I didn't get it although it was a very funny story. What a goof ball the Winter's kid is.

It has been a lovely weekend here. Great weather, extremely hot. Friday Tony and I washed and waxed our poor black cars that sit out in the sun all day. I fear the paint will soon dry up and peel right off if we don't get a garage soon. I am like you Darla. I can't go out into the sun without feeling kind of icky. I start to get a weird headache. Strange. I call it my sunshine headache. I get so many headaches that I have started naming them. Hopefully it is not a tumor. So then I just don't go in the sun which makes my already pasty white skin even more so. Oh well what can you do. I've heard that when you are on birth control your body reacts weird to the sun. Does anyone know if that is true? I have noticed that I can't for the life of me get tan since I have been on the pill. Anywho, Saturday we helped our friends in their yard a bit and went on a bike ride, it was so relaxing, minus the whole sun headache thing. Today, Monday, was Chloe's birthday, so we went to the park and had ice cream and cake. It was great. I am now going to go snuggle down and watch the exciting finale of 24.

That is all for now. Blog to your mothers, you know, like word to your mothers... yeah that sounded better in my head. Love Jess

darla

Okay....so I hope you're okay now Chelsea. Did you go to the doctor or what? That's so crazy. I've become such a wimp about heat since I had kids. I used to be able to lay out forever but now I just search for the shady spots wherever we go. So Brooke, your email was hilarious. That woman sounds a little crazy. Not that I don't want my kids to enjoy their birthdays but come on!! How old was her kid anyway? Sometimes (okay, most of the time) I swear they do it just to impress the other parents. I can't imagine. So today was a pretty decent one. I've been pretty worried about Dayne because she eats and poops a lot but has been pretty cranky and hasn't slept at all like a new born should. Anyway, I'm exhausted as well because I'm trying to entertain Cole and keep the house somewhat in order yet Dayne seems to always be crying if I'm not holding her or feeding her. So today after feeding and changing her I wrapped her up in a nice thin blanket, turned the A/C on and laid her in her crib. she took three 3 hour naps, only waking up to eat. It was wonderful. I actually cleaned my bathroom, mopped my kitchen floor and got quite a bit of laundry done. This does get easier right? I tried to take both of them out today to run a few errands as well but that didn't work. Dayne was screaming almost as soon as we entered the store and I couldn't seem to soothe her. I tried to feed her in the car with hopes that she'd be happy, fall asleep and then we could go back in...but to no avail. Well....at least Cole's been really good. I think he's realizing how annoying crying is and he's also learning that he has to do a little self-entertaining cause I'm always tied up...or so it seems! Well...I should run. Tomorrow morning Geof. and I are going to Randa (spelling) Hunt's wedding. We have a friend who lives in SL who's gonna watch the two rascals. So she's marrying a guy from Brazil and then moving down there. SCARY!!! But hey, Brazil's pretty rad and now we have a free place to stay. Yeah! Alright. Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow. You know i will...Darla

chelsea-back from the dead

Hello Everyone! Thanks for the Birthday wishes. I wish I would've read everyone's blogs before my actual Birthday and maybe it would've gone a little better. As you can see from the Title, I thought that I was going to die this weekend. I took Friday off of work and laid out from noon until 5. The weather was so nice and it didn't even seem like I was out there for that long. Bad idea. Long story short, I started throwing up at 11:00pm and didn't really stop until noon on Saturday. I got up to a total of 19 times. It was unbelievable. I did loose 10 lbs so that's a plus. :) Brooke, I did turn 20 years old. Here are the rest of your answers. Cortney will be 18 in September. She has one more year of High School. Ashley will be 16 in September. She didn't try out for cheer next year. I don't know why, but oh well. She's just going to take it easy I guess. Lindsey will be 14 in July. She loves softball. She is really really social too. Pretty crazy. Adam, I don't know what to do with myself now that The OC is over. It was an unbelievable finale. I can't wait until next season. Tonight it the two hour season finale of 24! It's going to be intense, as usual. Jess, don't worry, I know exactly what game your talking about. I always try and guess what time it will say after the commercials. Okay, back to work. I have a lot to catch up on. Peace.

Weekend update with Brooke Stinchfield

Oh Mindi, you had us laughing on and off all afternoon. I don't know which is more funny- Adam hanging out in the baby pool (while you get all the kids ready and in the car) or picturing T.J. saying "You know I do." It just kills me. Jess, I'm sorry I didn't mention the whole Enrichment night. I guess it is just my bitter state of denial since I didn't go that caused a temporary mental block. Geof., you can be twins! Sadie has permanent grill marks on her arm. Yes, they are there in curving diamond shapes and have been since February when she ran past a chimanea (sp?) at a restaurant where we were eating. We were there for Mike's Farewell from Echo company. The chimanea near me was blazing but I had looked down to the other one and it looked like it wasn't lit. She wasn't even doing anything wrong, just leaving her dad, who was sitting down at one end of the table, and coming to see me. Of course, being such a tough girl all she said was "Ouch mommy, my arm." Everyone on the planet asks how she got the marks on her arm. Maybe I should hang a sign around her neck as well. Let's just hope they're gone by the time she really cares. I'm afraid they will always be faintly visible (as opposed to very visible now).

So...yesterday I decided to get rid of some stuff at our post wide garage sale. First, let me interrupt myself and let you all know that this is going to be just short of a novel. Possibly a novella. Anyway, I have never before had a garage sale. We just don't buy enough junk and normally what we do have I just give away or Mike sells on ebay to support his gaming habit. But...postwide means there are a bunch of people out looking and you don't have to have tons of stuff because they are just walking from one house to the next. Plus, I did have five birthday gifts to get before one o'clock. So after the first hour I had sold one pair of baby shoes for a dollar. Mike thought it was hillarious. I ended up making $75.00. Which was just fine with me, I kept alot of the stuff to give to good will because so many of the offers were absolutely ridiculous. I'll give you a dollar for that blow dryer. I'll give you a dollar for that iron. I'll give you two dollars for that lamp. Sorry, I'll get more use out of this than your lousy dollar. These people drive onto post in their huge vans, with trailers hooked to the back to gather as much crap as possible- for a dollar. Don't get me wrong, I love a good garage sale and I love a good bargain- but please!

So, a million dollars later we have our five birthday gifts and we're off to the various parties (they last through Wednesday). Mike taking Jane to her friend's party and me and the girls to the back yard. My neighbor did a Peter Pan theme for her two year old and five year old. It was amazing, she must have put in so much time and money. There was a teepee and a mermaid lagoon. Their wood playground/swing set was built up into a pirate ship. There were inflatable crocs and palm trees, fog machines, hand painted bean bag toss boards. The woman went all out. The highlight was a giant dragon moon bouncer. So while Sadie bounced happily away I was over at the craft table beading her headband that she had lost interest in two seconds after we started. Suddenly the sounds of laughter turned into screams and crying, The whole dragon had deflated on the kids. My neighbor and I were the first ones to the entrance and we start dragging kids out- there were like ten of them. The whole time I can hear Sadie crying and I'm trying to talk to her and reassure her. Yes, she was the youngest in there and the last one out. I wasn't worried about getting her out, okay, yes I was, toward the end when there weren't bigger kids holding it up. I was worried about the bigger kids freaking out and kicking or jumping on/over her in their efforts to get out. It was quite the drama. The hose in the back had just wriggled itself loose and the dragon was up and at em again in moments. However, Sadie stayed clear for the rest of the party. She could very easily be traumatized for life. After that was all over we were home for a much needed nap. When we woke up Ellyn was running a fever and spent the night being a high maintenance baby. I think they are just teething fevers but she gets them like every other weekend. It is always on the weekend too. I'm afraid she just doesn't want to go to church so she's holding her thermometer to the light bulb when I'm not looking.

So today I taught my first Sunday School lesson and it went really well. I had two classes so it was the 14-18 year olds. Luckily, I'm still young enough that I'm "cool." As far as teachers go. Ad, Meags, and possibly Geof. I have a girl in there that looks and acts exactly like Megan did when she was in middle school, which happens to be far worse than the way she acted in high school. So you can imagine. I have had her in Young Women's for months with not even a smile, but today she finally cracked. I guess that is why I think today went so well. Her mom is so worried about her and with good cause. But today she was smiling and laughing and giving answers and even said the closing prayer. Yeah!!

Okay, I am almost done. Today Jane let us cut the bangs she has been growing out all school year. They were almost long enough to tuck behing her ear but they made Mike and me crazy, She just looks better with bangs and tonight her dad cleverly found a way to convince her that bangs were the way to go and before she could reconsider we were out on the lawn trimming away. She loves them by the way, so don't be too critical of our manipulation.

That is it. That is the end of the novella. Ellyn is climbing all over me and I am ready for bed. I will proof read this in the morning. I hope you all had a good weekend. I love you all, you know I do. Brooke

ColoradoBennett-You know I do

I forgot to post the highlight of the Winter's wedding. When it came time for the groom to say "I DO" he said with a Kip like lisp, "You know I do". I wanted to die of embarrassment for the poor, classy bride who elegantly said 'I DO' in reply. My previous postings have failed, and by the lack of posts these past few days I was thinking maybe other bloggers where having the same problems. We've had a fantastic week. It has been about 90 the past few days and there for it is 92 in our attic apartment. We bought a little kiddie pool at the neighbor's garage sale on Friday and Adam has used it more often than Sierra. Yesterday we were running late for Jay's birthday party and after I got the girls ready and in the car I went looking for Adam. He was lounging in the pool, his back on the slide and his legs hanging off the edge at his knees. Jay's party was pretty wild. 20 little boys having contests with real screw guns and hammers. Miraculously, no one left missing a finger. The cake was really cute. My mom used a toy wheelbarrow, filled it with crushed oreos, chocolate cake cubes and gummy worms topped with chocolate pudding. It had the appearance of dirt and mud. Then she served all the kids in toy shovels instead of bowls. Everyone loved it. Well, I've got to go clean up the car before Adam gets home from his late church meetings. Some of the Young Women thought it would be funny to write 'Go Team' on our car window. Adam caught them just as they finished "Go T" and took away their window marker. Then after class they cleaned that up but one used her finger to write something using the dirt on the paint. She was totally innocent about it but was soon terrified at the possibility of facing Adam's wrath. This is Liberty Belle Tillemann-Dick I'm talking about. She has a huge crush on Brind and I guess their correspondence is pretty regular. I know that Brind has more than two of these 'regulars', but I better go salvage what I can before Adam kills a potential future family member. Blog out...you know I do

Povo

Good heavens there were many a good blog today. So the last few days have been as magical as a mid summers night eve. On Friday we went to the park with some friends and played catch, passed the Frisbee, doubles tennis, and volleyball. It was so warm and wonderful. Then yesterday we went and I motorcycled through the hills of west mountain. I being a dumb ace wore shorts and burned the crap out of my right leg. You can see the grill marks. I learned to jump the bike a little and then the clutch went out. Luckily I was able to ride it over to Ryan Beechers and he’s going to help me replace it. Hey Adam and Mindi lets go to Bear Lake with the Rigby’s when you come out. We can visit people in Logan and Bear Lake is gorgeous. Of course all cousins should go up there it would be awesome. Brooke don’t tell the school they already have stopped doing cool things like installing rusty teeter totters with screws pushed up through the seats. But hey it’s your life. Alright so I took Cole to church while Darla stayed home with the babes and I don’t know about your guys but Sacrament meetings with a two year old feels like a gauntlet to me. You are just holding you breath hoping you make it through with minimal discomfort to those surrounding you. Anywho all was well until the fourth quarter when Cole with the honey nut cheerios snack bag makes a mad dash for the Bishop. Yes he made it from the back of the packed I don’t know anyone in the ward yet room to nearly the front which is where going from a sprint a lunged and tackled him. We listened to the rest from the foyer. All is well Darla is doing great and the Dr. said probably only a week more on the oxygen for Dayne. Chelsea happy birthday I hope you get the pony we faxed over. Brooke don’t give presents to other kids or lose the announcement so your girls simply think they weren’t invited. I feel like doctor Laura with all this good advice. Okay here’s a quick quote “You wouldn’t worry what others think about you if you realized how seldom they do.” I’m gonna make like a breech baby and butt out. peace

i told the kids i couldn't play with them because i have to clean the kitchen, but i can't resist the blog. and only chels wrote yesterday so the draw is even greater. wil is healing, i guess. his eye is swollen and yellowish green, so he looks kind of deformed. mom and i are going to take his stiches out tomorrow. the boys are going on fathers and sons tonight and the girls are having "girls night". benny is very excited. jess i love the name spencer. the boy i want elly to marry is named spencer, but i still will not rule it out. that is awsome that you got to share about your/our trips to europe. i love it there i can't wait to go back, hopefully next summer. there is a rally (off road race) and marathon the first weekend of august in helsinki, so that is my goal. hopefully we come into some big money between now and then. i hope all of you get a little time to write this weekend. i need to know how everyone is doing. oh ps for any of you who remember brian, they are having a girl. love all ........me

Seattle Bennett living in Colorado

Well we have big news here in Colorado and that is Kaia Jane has got her first top teeth (2 already on bottom) yes two came through almost simultaneously so now if you put your finger in her mouth you will most likely lose it she is definitely going to be a meat eater. It is funny how quick she is learning, the other day Mindi was holding her and told me she was going to go put her to bed, talk about turning a smiley face to a frown, she immediately started to cry. Also when you ask to see her muscles she flexes and gives out a little grunt very cute. So the OC gone until next year Jimmy's back though, I like Jimmy by the way the episode before last with Theresa did anybody not see that coming. Also if any of you bloggers out there get a chance to work at a drug rehab I would highly recommend it from the councilors that also counsel the staff to the ups and downs of the patients it is truly fantastic it was the closest thing to an everyday spiritual high that I have had since my mission.

Happy Birthday Chelsea!

I know tomorrow is your birthday, but I am afraid that either I will forget to post on a Saturday or you won't get a chance to read it. So have a wonderful birthday Chelsea, and a fabulous day off today. How old are you anyway? Is this 20? How old are all your sisters and what are they up to? Besides softball and waking you up at all hours!

Cam, Mike and I both enjoyed the barber analogy. Does Monica get to read the blog yet? How is your house selling going? Was that guy serious?

Jess, Mike really liked that group. I can't remember, Oh Keane, Right? Anyway, he bought the i-tune cd. He played me snipets the other night and I have to agree. I also have to agree with the advise thing. Our arguments just escalate when we're tired. Whoever first came up with that idea must have been a pansy and not really married.

Well we had quite a day yesterday. It started out fun. Mike had the morning off so he came with me and the girls to Jane's field day. It was really well planned and very fun for the kids. They had a rock climbing wall as one of their stations and the guys let me climb it barefoot. They had a bubble station where they used all sorts of things to make different shaped bubbles, Sadie loved that. Then they also had a bunch of the usual...obstacle courses, relays, long jump, etc... We stayed and ate lunch with Jane and then I took Mike to work and went grocery shopping and Jane continued on with Field Day. Well when I picked Jane up she said she wasn't feeling good, but that she had drunk plenty of water. I told her to come home and take a nap. We all took a short nap and then went to pick up Mike (the brakes are out on his truck). She still wasn't feeling very well. After another hour or two she started sobbing while I was on the phone with mom. Mike said she had heat exhaustion (which is what I had figured earlier but I didn't know how to treat it for sure, besides rest and water). We had to give her a cold bath, then she threw up. We kept making her drink water until she went to bed. This morning she is fine. I just wish they had planned a bit of a shorter day. It was 86 degrees with 100% humidity which puts it about 13 degrees hotter. I am debating letting them know. I don't want it to come out as a complaint because they had so much fun, but I think they should know it happened? Yes? No?

Today we are cleaning the house and going shopping for 4 birthday presents for parties this coming week. I swear, you need a birthday party budget all its own. I don't know how mom and dad did it with six of us. We did just have Jane going to parties but now it's Sadie too. I need to come up with clever CHEAP ideas and just use them every time. Maybe rotate them so they are new everywhere we move. Okay, I'm babbling now. I have to go change the sheets on my bed and clean my room. Until I blog again, Brooke

Hello. Wow! There are a ton of blogs and I love it!
Mindi-My address is: 1441 Fairway Lane-Farmington, Utah 84025
I'm so glad to hear how many of you love 24! Who knew? I learn so much about everyone everyday. So again, thank-you Brooke for setting this up! It was genious. Poor Wil! I'm glad it wasn't worse. He is so cute! I still need to come and see Dayne. So Ashley went to see Star Wars with her friends at 12:01am last night. I must have been on drugs or something when I agreed to pick her up after it was over. I went to bed at 12:00, as usual. She called me at 2:29am. I picked her up in Layton, listened to her and her friend talk about the boys and their other friend they were mad at, blah blah blah...got home at 3:00am. For some reason I couldn't fall back asleep until 3:30am, alarm went off at 5:00am. I went to Body Pump again this morning. It was ridiculous. I keep wondering why I have chosen to do this to myself. We'll see how happy I am in about three hours. I took the day off tomorrow so that will be nice. I plan on laying out. Well, that's it for now. I love reading everyone's stuff. Keep it coming. I'm out like a trout. (that one sucked, but i'm tired.)

So many blogs, so little time-Jessica

So I went to read blogs yesterday and there were 12 new ones and today there were about 10. I almost can't keep up. I too had to resort to using a pen and paper to keep track of all the comments that were made.

Brooke, I went to read your blog last night and because of the time change you had already seen AI, it was funny because I sort of knew what was going to happen. The a capella was definitly interesting. I don't know how to spell that either. Tonight I was sad to see Vonzy go but I love Bo and Carrie. I also hate folding the whites, actually I hate folding all together. I was laughing so hard when you wrote, make like a cigarette and leave. That was great.

Geof, you bet I am in for the concerts. Darla, Gone with the Wind is my absolute favorite book (it should be, it took me just shy of one year to conquer it, I guess you could say I'm a slow reader). I want to go to Georgia like I want to take my next breath. Maybe one day.

Meags, poor Vimmers, I know how it goes to get stitches as a child, not fun. I was reading People magazine and there was a girl named Spencer. I thought that was pretty cute. I loved how you spelled out d a m n. I was laughing.

Cameron, good story about the barber, so true.

I have to tell you all a funny story that Cam can attest to. Little Kev's sister is getting married so Grandma Jeanette gave her a shower at Paula's house. They were going around and asking everyone for advice so I said, "Well you know how everyone says, 'Never go to bed angry' well I disagree. You could stay up all night fighting and it only gets worse. I say go to bed and it will all be better in the morning." Everyone laughed and Cameron said he agreed. Well a few minutes later, Grandma Jeanette came in and they asked if she had any advice. You guessed it, her advice..."Never go to bed angry." It was hilarious.

I too am obsessed with 24. In fact Tony and I took season 2 on our 1st anniversary trip and finished it in like 4 days. Talk about addictive. We got to the point where we would guess what the time would be when it would come back from where the commercial break would be (does that make sense) I got quite good at it. Give it a whirl.

Last night for Enrichment they did a little "Around the World" night. I went and talked about our trips to Europe. It was awesome. I made a little poster with a bunch of pictures. I told the pick pocket story and I told them about Renee and Emma. I also told them about going to conference with the missionaries. It went great and it brought back so many memories, looking through pictures and reading my journal. Good times.

Adam and Mindi, we were toying with the idea of going to Bear Lake or something for Memorial but now that I know you are coming down, things may change. Hopefully we will be here.

Sorry this is sooo long. That is all for now. I will make like a fat man's pants and split. Love Jess

Chels--Quick! What is your address!?

What is going on here? -darla

Okay...so I'm obviously not on here enough at all! What is this OC thing everyone's talking about? Geof. and I still don't have any form of TV and get made fun of quite often for our small, 1970's version of a television. Alright, so I should be sleeping since both babies are, but I just had to read a little...and there are SOO many new blogs, I just can't keep up. Meags, your email was so sweet. Poor little Wil. I just want to eat him up! Even though Cole can be quite a little wretch (as LeAnne can attest too), he's so sweet when he's hurt. Hopefully the two boys can play well when you come down (when is that anyway?). Mindi, THANK YOU sooo much for the adorable blanket. I love it and so does Dayne. It's much better than her thin little Pooh towel. You're so great. You're more than welcome to come camp out in the back yard...or the front room if you'd like . My sister will be here soon so it'll be a house full but I'm learning to be a true Bennett right? Things are going well. I think Geof. was probably the sweetest husband/dad that he's ever been yesterday. Like he said, we went up to Salt Lake to play and he went out of his way to make me and both babies happy and comfortable. When we were leaving to go back to the car we had to trek up that big hill from the conf. center to the capital (okay, maybe it's not that big but I just had a 10 pounder!!!) and he took both Dayne in the front pack and Cole (who's not so little anymore) in our awkward little stroller so I wouldn't over exert myself. wow. I'm lucky. Okay...brooke. Could it be any lamer that you're leaving Georgia? I haven't read too many of the blogs so i don't know if you're happy or sad about it but I am!!! We can't take a trip out there before you leave and i just can't stand that! iT's always been a dream of mine to go to georgia (especially after reading Gone With the Wind). So you'll just have to come back with us sometime and give a tour. Alright. Hope all of you are doing well. It was good to see the Rigby girls and cute Paula, Monica and her girls. Thanks for coming down!! Please come more!! Geof. misses his family! I'm sure he's getting a little tired of us crazy Ericksons. hee...hee. Darla

I've only got a minute but I thought I'd share this email I got today.

This is one of the best explanations of why God allows pain and
suffering that I have seen. It's an explanation other people will
understand.

A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard
trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good
conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects.

When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: "I
don't believe that God exists."

"Why do you say that?" asked the customer.

"Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God
doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick
people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would
be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving God who would
allow all of these things.?

The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't
want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer
left the shop.

Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long
stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt.
The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said
to the barber:

"You know what? Barbers do not exist."

"How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber. "I am here,
and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!"

"No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers do not exist because if
they did there would not be people with long dirty hair and untrimmed
beards, like that man outside."

"Ah, but barbers do exist! What happens is that people do not come to
me."

"Exactly!" affirmed the customer. "That's the point! God too DOES
exist! What happens is that people don't come to HIM and do not look
for HIM.?

Geof.-I didn't see you there

I want to come too. And...I love 24. I won't even go swimming Monday nights so I can watch. Nothing matches the intensity of the 1st season though. Mike had bought it and Ellynn and I decided to watch it while she was staying with me for a month last March. We would put it on once the girls were in bed and watch it into the wee hours of the morning- like 4 am. We would say "just one more" but then that dang digital clock would start ticking and we just had to keep going. We made it all the way through season 1 and halfway through season 2 before she left. Jack AND Tony are my heroes- love them. By the way my favorite thing to do was to wake Ellynn up when I had to get up to get Jane ready for school every morning. What a special treat.

Chels- Just hand those bills over to dad!

Meags- I know we just talked but reading about my poor baby just made me tear up again. Give him big hugs and kisses from his favorite aunt. You know, the one he kept calling for (you left that part out). Okay, I now have 10 minutes to put away a million loads of folded laundry (they were all folded in the basement, except for the white load. I HATE folding white loads).

Geof, I'm going to make like a cigarette and leave. Brooke

holy devil megs i can't believe that story that's horrific, poor little lamb, how cute that is that he kept saying that he's good, keep us posted on how the stiches heal!
geof of course i'd love to meet for the concerts, if we could all just hold off on that situation until august 15 when i'll be home. and megs the harry potter idea seems like a great one i'll keep that in mind.
mindi i ment oh wow no way cause i was so excited you watched the oc but now i learn it was adam, so that just added a point to his ranking in the favorite cousin list!

mega me

geof. i want to go the concert in the park with you and eat picnic dinners and ice cream. that sounds like a little bit of heaven. and i want to be in utah for memorial day weekend. if i thought i could make the drive i would be working hard on cory. i have great stories to tell today. first we got a package from the colorado bennetts yesterday and my kids were over joyed because they know if it's from adam and mindi it's going to be good. well it was more than good, it was the cutest little ducky, baby towel ever (which she made with her own two hands). and the funniest letter from mindi. she doesn't just rock, she rock 'n rolls. adam how did you and all of us in turn get so d a m n lucky. (that's me spelling it out, not saying it because there are children around.) i went to enrichment last night which was pretty fun, then me and my two night time workout buddies went to the gym. i told you i just couldn't stay away. so there i am waddling very slowly, but at an incline, when a familiar car pulls up. i see cory's head pop through the door so i go over to talk to him, thinking whow this can't be good. i was right, there was blood all over his shirt. i run (waddled) back, turned off my treadmill, and told my friends i will catch them later. apparently, wil and benny had been playing a bit too rough, like always and benny had pulled a blanket out from under wil and his head hit the corner of the coffe table. those things should really be out lawed, i'm now in search of a round one. i suggest you all do the same. you see we had is same problem with benny two years ago. so anyways i jump in the car and we go up to mom's to drop off the big kids. then off to the hospital. (oh cory did call 911 and the fire department came and cleaned him up and said he had to get stiches.) the wait time at the emergency room was not too bad. wil was in a good mood and cory filled me in on ai. then we had to go back into the exam room which wilohm new right away meant trouble. but as long as "mommy hold it" and daddy did funny things he was fine. when the doctor came in they put him in this little papoos (spelled wrong) thing, which he hated. and it didn't do much good because he was out of it in 2 seconds flat. so like lyd we are going to put him in the circus. cory and i held him down while the doc gave him a shot, that only numbed half the area he stiched, and five stiches. the whole time he kept saying "all done mamma", and i would say "almost", and he would say "'k' mamma". then he started saying "i'm good mamma, but i'm good". i think even the doc got a tear in his eye. he is such a sweet baby!!!! cory carried him out of the hospital, because he smelled like blood and death, (the same smell). and i was having such severe cramping, i couldn't stand up straight. thus why i was suppose to stop going to the gym. so that is my blog, a bit long i know, but all had to be told. i love all........me

Okay, there is so much to respond to! I hope I can remember it all. I should've made a list... Brooke, I wish I could say work smirk, but I've got bills to pay! Adam, I seriously cannot wait for tomorrow night. The OC finale is going to be unbelievable. Mindi, I tried to refrain from the second season also, but as you can see, it didn't work out. It has a power over me. Meagan, it is NOT a sitcom! If you only knew... Adam, I will be in Utah over Memorial Day. I am in Utah all the time. Brooke, Jacki is doing well. She hasn't been the same since the surgery, but she is progressivly getting better. Okay...I missed American Idol last night. It was real unfortunate. I had to work at the GAP. For those of you that didn't know that, it's true. I do it strictly for the discount. I will be watching the results show tonight and I hope Carrie is still in. I love her. Geoff/Darla, I LOVE 24! I think I dare say I love it more than The OC. I am a die hard 24 fan and that finale on Monday is going to kill me. I love Jack. I want to name my future son Kiefer. For real. Meagan, I will start thinking on some names. I don't have any off the top of my head quite yet. Okay, that is all for now. I'm off like a Prom dress...

Seattle Bennett living in Colorado

Brooke it will be so nice when your move home not only will you be much closer but your post won't get screwed up with the time changes I get so confused----sorry short pause Kaia was into the toilet paper. By the way the OC rocks you just never know what is going to hit next plus you just have to love Sandy's fight the system make a difference while still being a surfer and very successful and Kiersten very sweet motherly friend yet I'm your parent. Sandy is just my hero though he has changed jobs 3 kind of four times since the beginning always to keep his values strong and have fun in life what can I say I wish I were Sandy Cohen. So who is going to be in Utah Memorial day weekend? Does Lindsey have a game? Alicia I hope you're there because I'm sleeping in your bed.

A few thoughts on A.I.- Brooke

Okay, so tonight I had to agree with the judges. Bo Bice was by far the best. It takes REAL talent to sing accappella (I know I'm not spelling that right but I'm drawing a blank), especially in front of a crowd. I don't think, however, that Paula did him any favors by choosing "Satisfaction." Simon's commentary about hearing it sung like that at weddings is exactly right. No one can sing it like the original. Carrie did a good job, but so did Vonzel. They are neck and neck in my book. I haven't built up the relationship with any of them like you all have.

Lyd and Chels- I understand the whole schedule thing. Work, schmirk, as the girls in my family are fond of saying. Just know that you are both welcome to visit me any time, anywhere I live. Hopefully that will include Europe sometime in the next few years. I'm praying that we get Italy some day. Yeah, then I bet you all come visit.

Yes, it's true. I had to call and admonish my younger sister. I hadn't been able to get ahold of her on the phone and she was not blogging as she should. I was a bit concerned. You know how psycho Meagan gets when she's not wearing her sixes and running 30 miles a day. Kidding loverly. I can't believe you aren't going with Glynnis.

So I have developed this overwhelming desire to learn to ride a unicycle. Seriously, thoughts of learning to ride have invaded my thoughts way too much lately. Of course I can't say it would be too good for my back. You see I know Lyd and Jess to be pretty coordinated girls. You take their mistakes and multiply them times 50 or 60 and you can only imagine the injuries I would be dealing with. Heck, I'd be dead.

Cameron, I love the Harley story. That is too cute. I also picture our little Monie teaching her daughter and that is too cute too. You have such a sweet, good wife.

Today was another great day in the back yard. Sadie is going to have nothing to open on her birthday because Mike and I keep giving her all her presents. I gave her two of the three dresses I bought at Old Navy and Mike blew up her very cool pool for her. All the kids on our side of the street were spread across three yards. It was a water extravaganza. I had on my swimsuit attempting to get my legs that currently reflect moonbeams some color. My arms and face are getting a little too dark for my taste but nary a drop of color has developed below the waist and above the ankle (I do have chaco lines on my feet).

Mindi, thank you for the card and pictures. I can't believe how much K and E look alike in the one. We loved having you guys...and I remember that night of dancing fondly as well. Poor uncle Kev.

How's our Auntie Jack feeling these days? Anybody can fill me in. Ellyn just woke up again so I'm done for the night.
P.S. Geof. I love your description of seeing the Ring. Too funny. I will not let Mike rent The Grudge, the previews freaked me out. Rigby girls, it really is amazing you aren't more scarred by all the scary movies I remember you guys talking about when we were little. Okay, I'm going to make like a tree and butt out. Brooke

Povo

Okay so when I read the blogs I’ll sit with a sticky note and a pen and write down things I want to comment on. First of all Brooke it’s make like a tree and leave. Oh Biff ahh okayyy. Mindi I’m glad you can avoid lame sit com’s. Tell Susan I mean Adam that he should stop watching them as well. I did get heavily involved with 24. I got the blockbuster unlimited pass and watched the first two seasons. Every time Jack is on it is cool and then the wenches come on and it just becomes el gay which is Spanish for the gay. I haven’t ever seen AI but from hearing about it I am pulling for Bo because it would be cool to have a rocker idol. I would watch the series if Eddie Veddar was a contender. So I had the day off and Darla, Cole, Dayne, and I had an adventure in Salt Lake. We visited the Pioneer Museum and saw all the piano’s those pioneers moved across the planes. We had a picnic in the park and visited several other points of interest. It was so much fun and everyone especially Cole was good. That city is so amazing the Church keeps it beautiful. They are starting a series of concerts in a park near temple square Tuesdays, and Fridays beginning after memorial weekend. I think that would be an excellent meeting place for any cousins interested. I better see a lot of cousins interested. What fun we’ll go to the concert enjoy packed dinners at a park and then go out for ice cream. Yeah bud-E as Ryan Beecher would say. Alright thanks for the blogs. Keep em coming. Now I'll make like a preacher and get the hell out.

mega me

brooke thinks i have been taken by aliens, but have no fear i am still here. just too negative. i don't want to bring the blog down. one good thing i realized i have only gained 57 lbs instead of 65 so that is cool. of course i have given up on the whole gym thing (i think) until after this beauty decides to show her face. we'll see if i can really stay away. like alicia i am an addict. speaking of this little princess about to grace us with her presence (6 weeks), we have no name for her. please send help. we are looking for ungirlly names, i also like the whole last name thing, but sorry cameron i will not use yours. so any suggestions would be highly appreciated. adam you are a girl and mindi i am proud of you for not being sucked back in. you guys are so stinking funny, lyd i love your whole birthday, party thing that was great. hey i have an idea why don't you guys come up here for the release of harry potter. that would be so cool. cause brooke will be here too. love you all..........me

ColoradoBennett-OC

I was going to get on my soap box about the OC, but then I realized that would be fruitless and hypocritical. The truth is I got really sucked into that show, it was a serious love/hate relationship. After the first season I told Adam I wasn't going to waste my time watching it anymore and I made fun of him for being addicted to the 2000s version of 90210. He said I couldn't do it, that I couldn't resist the temptation of the second season. But I have. True, one time I heard a radio commercial about the plot and then I asked my friend Haylee to fill me in on what happened, but I didn't watch it. And once Adam made me watch the part where Modest Mouse was singing on the show and I really enjoyed that, but I won't back down! Lyd, you titled your blog "mindi no way" but I haven't the slightest what you were referring to. Dancing, maybe? Chelsea, I sure wish I could be there with you for your mom's workout classes. My 8 minutes arms, abs, buns, and legs videos just aren't cutting it. I'm on a waiting list to start a women's rock climbing class at Rockn' and Jamn' so that should help. Well, Sierra is sitting on poor Kaia like she is a small pony. Better go intervene. Blog out...

mindi no way -Lyd

oh yes yes yes yes i love to hear there's more of us out there! chels brought home the first season and from the time i got home from work at about 2:30 i didn't stop watching it till about 11:00 at night, yeah it's more than sucked me in! chels and i would have small oc parties where you had to dress up and we only ate orange things. for my friends birthday which landed on a thursday i decorated our house with orange crepe paper and orange balloons it was glorious! and this week i've been kinda sad because of the kaleb situation, i'm also so concerned about the kurstin and sandy i just know things will work out for the best! im so nervous for thursdays show it's gonna be a good one! ok this is my last blog for awhile but i just got so excited over the oc and mindi!

chels

Shut up! I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one who has been sucked in the horrible depths of The OC.

Seattle Bennett living in Colorado

update to brooke -lydi

yeah it doesn't look good for the visiting situation, i would love to come and i don't give a hoot who would be there. i looked at how much tickets are for a direct flight to anywhere in georgia and it's is around 800 bones or more, so then i checked out flying into florida somewhere but then theres a layover in new york and i don't know how i'd get from there to where you are and that's about $350 round trip, so what i'm saying here is unless i win the lottery i won't be able to make it :( yeah that's right :( !!! well darnit chels that sucks we really should have tried earlier but i'm sure we could visit you elsewhere. but thanks so much for the invite.

Also a small sidenote i hate scary movies, i to have givin up on them until of course i feel like not sleeping, i saw the grudge and i proceeded to sleep with the lights on until about yesterday and i wouldn't sleep by myself for about 3 weeks, i had to be touching someone. i slept on the parents floor with the jackie's hand touching mine, yeah i'm a big baby! well that's all for now blog ya later!

chelsea

Hello everyone. I just arrived to work and automatically updated myself on the blogs. It's a habit. This morning I made a huge mistake. Ashley and I went to my Mom's Body Pump class at the gym. I'm not even kidding you, placing my arms on the steering wheel while driving home was very difficult. Not to mention washing my hair in the shower. It's going to be a rough day and tomorrow it'll hit me worse. Enough complaining. Ashley and I have committed to this craziness and we are not backing down. I am going to look like Summer on The OC. (lyd is probably the only one who knows who I'm talking about.) Brooke, I would love more than anything to come and visit you. Lydia leaves on the 29th for Maine so that leaves us with this weekend. Unfortunately that leaves us basically no time to plan. I wish we would've been thinking ahead. Mindi, I know this is going to upset you, so I just want to get it out in the open and prepare you now. I will not be dancing at my wedding. That doesn't mean that you can't dance. I just won't be dancing...at all. I really don't like it. To be completely honest with you, I'll probably ditch out early and head for the Honeymoon. On that note, later...

ColoradoBennett-At first I was afraid

We had a great time in Pueblo with Ellery at the Winter's wedding. The actual wedding was short (and LDS), the cake was ok, and there was plenty of dancing. All very important on my list. Dancing is at the top. Can we please have more weddings around here? And please don't skip out on the dance floor, ok. Sierra is an excellent dancer. She really goes nuts on the dance floor, must get it from Adam, I guess. We danced until Sierra crawled into Kaia's car seat and fell asleep. Really, on minute she was dancing happily with her balloon with two forks tied to the bottom and the next she was asleep. The next day we stopped by Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs (that's where the pics are from). Well, I can't keep my eyelids open anymore...blog out.

I would love for you guys to come. Mike's little sister and her husband are coming Memorial day weekend. Anne will stay for the week. That DOES NOT mean you can't come. They are alot of fun and young (Anne is Brind's age) and I say the more the merrier. I just wanted to let you girls know in case that didn't sound as appealing to you. Honestly, it would be fabulous if you came, any time. I don't have time to blog now. Will later. Blog out (if Chels can use it, so can I), Brooke

What's up? Everyone sounds lovely. I'm just sitting at work like usual. LeAnne, work is the reason I didn't come down to Provo on Friday. I'm sorry I missed out, but what can you do? I registered for another class during the summer. Not excited at all. Oh well. It's suppossed to rain tonight and I'm very upset. Hopefully the weather cooperates with Lindsey's game. I swear over half of hers have been cancelled so far. It's real annoying, I love watching her play! I was with Lyd when she saw the preview for Harry Potter. I don't think she breathed once during the whole thing. It does look pretty great. Cameron, I love your story about Harly. She is so stinkin cute! I completely believe that they are closer than we are. Grandma died before Lindsey was born. When she was little and just barely talking, we (my mom and sisters) were talking about Grandma. She turned and said, "I know her." Me being the smart alec that I was/am quickly contridicted her statement. But then she said again, "Yes, I know her." She was so sure of herself that you couldn't help but believe her. Pretty cool! I love stuff like that. I'm glad to hear that Dayne is doing well at home. I'm excited to meet her. So all of you freaks are crazy for letting those scary movies get to you. I really don't get bothered by them at all. In fact, I am home all alone in the house by myself most of the time each night. The other night I didn't even lock the door. No big deal. I guess that's where I differ from you all. Well, that's it. In the words of Mindi, blog out.
